Happy Birthday champ! Recover well, and have a great year ahead!
Correct. As noted in the main thread, Ferrari clubs are asking everyone to attend a silent vigil, all in red, at the hospital tomorrow to show their respects and mark his birthday. The outpouring of positive energy should be awesome! If anyone's close, please make an effort, we'll all be with you in kind. Cheers, Ian
I think FChat community should observe a minute of silence too...what time? Anyone willing to participate?
Great idea & absolutely I'd participate! Maybe Rob would be willing to go as far as 'closing' Fchat and putting up a 'banner' of best wishes for a few minutes tomorrow? Cheers, Ian
How about 2pm Eastern Standard Time tomorrow, Jan 3rd, for 1 minute of silence in honor of Michael Schumacher's birthday, and the trial he is going through at this time. Maybe this message could be spread throughout all sections of FChat by a global mod? If Rob would be willing to shut down FChat for 1 minute with that message on the screen I think it would be even cooler. Rob?
I'm not opposed to a sign of solidarity and thing the gesture is great, but aren't moments of silence normally reserved for those who have passed away?
Not at all! It's simply a way of focusing many peoples positive energy in the victims direction. And the community here has a *lot* of positive energy to focus on his recovery! Watcha say, Rob? Shut this thing down for a few minutes....
I've been back and forth all day whether wishing happy birthday in the current circumstances are right. I like the idea of the forum freezing for a minute tomorrow with a message saying among the lines of: ''get better soon, Michael, our thoughts are with you and your family''. and now I'm still not sure where to factor happy birthday in...

Guys, his birthday is tomorrow! Please don´t congratulate one day before. He´s born on January 3rd (which begins in 10 minutes here).
I hope he will celebrate the 46th in style...Until then the best wishes are a speedy and full recovery
