By the way: Vettel also "resides" in switzerland..momenterly , awaiting the arrival of his 1st Baby !! And, yes, our German Fiscus has alot to do with it... Rennmaus
I don't get people all "up in arms" making a fuss on FB/Twitter about Lewis Hamilton and Barichello posting pictures while they're skiing. It's just a photo people, calm down. They're in no way mocking Schumi or anything like that, they just keep their fans up-to-date on what they're up to daily with their social media accounts. Should everyone stop skiing now? Or should there be a ban on F1 people skiing? It's all so ridiuclous. They can post a beach vacation pic but not a skiing one? Come on... Plus not everyone is intimately/genuinely a friend of MS. As a public F1 figure, it's a bit of a "good PR" move to post something sympathetic online but truth is not everyone is as sad or as broken up as they make it sound. What has happened to MS is tragic and I think everyone is saddened by it and hopes he makes it out ok but people's lives go on and we can't expect them to stop their family plans because of Michael's accident.
Well, it´s also about the taxes, but it´s way too easy blaming it only on this. Michael is an "A" celebrity. He always (and still does) did everything to keep his kids out of any media here. I can fully understand his decision moving to Switzerland. It´s a safe place, people are not as envious as the Germans and you have a very high living standard there. Michael could never live the same life in Germany as he does in Switzerland. I am really shattered about that many disgusting comments in several media. That shows best, his decision was totally right.
I had a decent crash in MX-5 Cup in 2009 at 12 - I had never been taught to "tap up" brakes and the Road America curbs are so aggressive that they tend to knock pads back. The pedal went to the floor and I went into the tire barrier at the foot of the Turn 12 stands. Fortunately I did get pumped up enough to slow some and the car I was driving was no doubt slower than the Kia Mark Pombo was driving. I wonder if that is what happened to Mark? But back to topic let's hope Schumacher fully recovers.

Will never forget that race. I have no doubt in my mind he would have win the race if not for the tire puncture
+1 Love those guys! Dunno if you noticed, but their 'small ad' is epic too...... Hopefully, they don't mind me posting a copy of it here. Cheers, Ian Image Unavailable, Please Login
For reasons I can't explain, these two quotes have lifted my spirits immeasurably!.... Something (no idea what) tells me '14 is gonna be a good year for F1 and more importantly Michael. Cheers, Ian
I wasn't, but now you mention it, seems like as good a time as any! (Somewhat) seriously, I'm now gaining confidence that; 1 - He's gonna be OK. 2 - We're in for a good season. Team Really Green is smiling a little for the first time in days. Cheers, Ian
Seems to me the longer there's 'no news', the better the situation gets. I'm a lot more optimistic than I was a day or so back. Keep sending positive thoughts everyone! [hijack alert. Figure why not!?] As for the season, I guess a healthy dose of skepticism never hurts. The front runners will almost certainly remain the same, but The Cans don't seem nearly as confident as previously. Merc will be there or thereabouts. Anyone who writes off the boys from Woking is a fool. Merc power, Honda power, they can still do it. Fauxtus? Who knows if they've even got the airfare? Our guys? Should be *epic* IMO! I reckon they're gonna do a decent car and the jockeys will bring out the best in each other. Can hardly wait! [end hijack] Godspeed Michael. The most important part of the year will be to see him back in the pits. Cheers, Ian
At least Michael doesn't have to listen to all the silly season rumors or Bernie's next great idea. There are times when a coma is almost preferable. Godspeed Michael
One could make an argument that he's simply taking a break from it all! Would be *awesome* if he returns just ahead of Melbourne! - "Yeah, I just didn't want to deal with all the off season BS!".... I also remain (somewhat) confident the double points BS will yet be dropped. Surely not even they can be that crazy? Can they? Further birthday wishes to the champ of course. Cheers, Ian
