Use white letters with black outlining, then the text will be much more readable.

Peter, this is worded a bit unfortunately. If you need help with a German text, please send me a PM.

I understand what you're saying, but as has been noted this is primarily an English speaking site and we've got plenty of real estate to play with. I'm thinking German at the top with the English version below (?)

I also think it needs to happen within the next few hours so it's on his birthday where he is..... 8pm there now......

    Cheers,
    Ian

Someone who's online at the time needs to remember to get a screenshot to save for posterity.

Agree with the multi-language idea as well as the change in verbiage - Also, the graphic is pretty low-res - any other options?

Best Wishes on your 45th Birthday Michael

The F-Chat community wishes you all the best for a full recovery with joy and happiness in 2014 and many years beyond.

For the sweet love of God DO NOT write "F-chat". Write FerrariChat(.com?).

Although the last sentence sounds more like stuff 14 year old teenagers text each other.

So not to be a PITA but just curious why we aren't using a high-res backgroud with "Ferrari" or an SF Shield, Cavallino or something? Legal reasons?

I mean this is Ferrari Chat so seems odd we are just using a low-res outline of a red car - not criticizing just asking.

What is the deadline from a timing standpoint?

FWIW - From everything I have seen or sent I have to admit I like DesertDawg's AVATAR the best for the banner being considered.

Easy to translate and more personal.

Don't know about the safety aspect of helmets that skier's wear, but some years back, one of the leading motorcycle magazines, had a independent lab do tests on a number of different brands of m/c helmets. The tests were the same exact tests the helmet manufacturers are SUPPOSED to conduct to pass the standards set, to be approved, and get the (I believe Snell 22? label) on the helmets. In the tests, over 3/4ths of the helmets, FAILED the tests. Apparently, a lot of fraud in the helmet industry. Had a friend years ago, riding his motorcycle, when down, the helmet shattered, and a chunk of the helmet went into his brain, killing him. People buy helmet's with the expectation, they have passed certain safety standards, and the tests by the independent lab, proved otherwise. Wonder if the same shenanigans apply to helmets that snow skier's, and bicycle rider's use?

About seven years ago my wife and I were riding our motorcycles traveling about 55mph around 2:00pm on a bright sunny day. A deer ran into the right front of my wife's bike knocking her off the bike. She was wearing jeans, a motorcycle padded jacket, boots, and a Shoei full face helmet.

She was knocked off the bike putting a huge scratch on the side of her helmet and the shield. She slid down the road about 150 ft with the bike going further. She remembers thinking, just as she was about to hit the pavement, this is really going to hurt. She felt very little impact as the helmet absorbed the shock. She had many bruises but only one abrasion. She did not have her jacket zipped entirely up and the slide was trying to rip the jacket off causing a fifty cent piece size abrasion on her shoulder. She cracked that shoulder and had two cracked ribs but no concussion. She is a living testimonial to wearing the correct gear and to the effectiveness of a quality helmet.

This is the main reason (coupled with more cell phone use behind the wheel) that I sold my 25th aniv Goldwing. Loved
the bike but unlike riding a Harley that would scatter deer out of your way, it was very quiet and deer would always be
a danger, especially for my evening rides. The last straw was when a huge buck T-Boned my Chrysler Condorde at a full
run which just about totaled it! Seeing that damage and envisioning what I'd look like if I was on the bike was
    something else!

I guess nothing got finished on the banner, too many cooks in the kitchen? We've missed his birthday, but we can do something else. Just make sure it gets to me, don't assume I'm reading all posts, best is to have Tifosi12 or mseals get my attention. Thanks.

    :(

I said earlier we need to get a move on, and was shouted down as this is a US based site, and it's still the 3rd here for a few more hours.

I'm certain Florians wording is good, and the English one seems ok to me. How about we shoot for 3pm pacific, 6 pm eastern?

Don't much care about the background graphic, Peters' looks ok to me. But we've got to do something for a few minutes IMO.
