XKC-029 was for sale at Fiskens in 2012:

XKC 029 was originally exported via the Californian Jaguar dealer Hornburg to Mexico. It ran in both the 1953 and 1954 Carrera Panamericana races with sponsorship from the state of Mexico ‘Estado de Mexico’ in 1953 and ‘Veracruz’ in 1954, making it the only Jaguar C-Type to have competed on the original Carrera Panamericana. The driver for both years was local legend ‘Paco’ Ibarra and in 1954 he was partnered by Nickey Pinal.
XKC 029 subsequently returned to the UK and was owned by one family for some thirty years. Highly original throughout, XKC 029 has been returned to its 1954 livery and, as you can see from the photos, looks fabulous. It caused a stir at the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed where it was demonstrated on behalf of the owner. It was then invited that August to attend The Quail in California where it won its class.

Fiskens is certainly not the place to find replica's.

Sorry, when I said replica I meant it had been restored, but as you can see, some letters - mainly the U in Veracruz) are not exact as the original and the Veracruz state crest is not 100% accurate. However it's still an excellent restoration.

    Hi all,
Happy new year 2014 to everyone.
The restored car's photos show a very careful research on the front and sides of the car, but what about the rear? i think the rear is wrong since on the real car there was a Veracruz crest on the rear on the left & 13 on the right.
    Apostolos, Greece.

Yes, in Sports Car International magazine, September 1994 issue there is a fantastic article in the History section on Boyd Harnell author/photographer with the only original picture of #13 Jaguar taken from the rear. The article has pictures of other cars too. I suggest you get it if found in the bay.

    Very nice photo apostolos....

A few more photos of the Porsche 550 1954 restored today. Anybody ever find any 340 Mexico 1952 photos in color?

Posted on another forum by 914joe, a photo of his 550 build in 1/43rd scale. Amazing talent. He brought one of his Bosica 356 models to the Ferrari expo a few years ago.

Making logos the old fashioned way...hand painting.....

Thank you very much for that pic, Apostolos. As you said, the restoration was not so good, after all...

The video already shows this but here is a confirmation that the Alfa 6C 2500 1950 cars(both) were maroon. Rims seem to be silver not cream like on the restored car....But who really can be sure??
