Did Ferrari upgrade the FF Audio/Nav system for 2013/2014? Amazing how antiquated the system is.
Our '13 has the same as the '12, which I think is the same as on the Cali/Cali30 (though stand to corrected on the '30). The fact that the VR system is actually pretty good AND you can bluetooth stream, and pairing is easy, is sort of an upgrade. While I find the user interface itself a bit dated, and the user documentation nonexistent, the basic features of the system are pretty good. The system in my '13 BMW has a better, crisper interface and (better) documentation, but does about the same things, just as well. OTOH, like many Nav systems (incl my BMWs), the map software needs continual upgrade and the antenna capture at times can be aggravating (i.e. shows my position as the middle of the Hudson River) IF they can get an iOS-like interface with workable Siri-like VR, THAT would be an upgrade.
which allegedly has iOS and Siri platform elements. I'm already planning to be irritable that our 2013 is non-upgradeable. Having said that, we use the Nav quite a bit, the bluetooth phone is fine....we tend to not use the audio system too much in Fcars. However, look forward to seeing what actually comes out
No. I have the first 2014 FF in BH and it is exactly the same as every other model year. It will change in the 2015 model year according to Factory officials with whom I met when they were here conducting a survey of what customers want in next gen infotainment systems. The current system is pretty old and not bespoke. It was once fashionable for companies like Ferrari to ignore the importance of sat nav and other car electronics. No longer. The FF itself is an absolutely epic car. And in my opinion the best all around Ferrari (and car) I have driven. So I guess I can look past slightly dated infotainment.
