Is there anyone who has already noted the 458 and GT4 similarities?

Has this been discussed to death while I was out driving.

I kind of see the similarities in lines and production.

458's are turning up, well. Everywhere, or so it seems to me.

Like what in particular?!? I don't think they're similar at all IMHO, except 4 wheels, V8, Ferrari..

Now - if you said Lamborghini Urraco & GT4 - then yes.. similar.

Or your X/19 & GT4 ! I had an X in my garage for a while & it was crazy side by side the similarities. Of course the door handles and trunk latch were identical.
    End of hijack

Other than the angularity of the engine intakes I don't see it.

While the 308 GT4 is a clear example of Wedge Line design innovation, and the 458 is an evolution of Flow Line, with exaggerated "Coca Cola Bottle" shape, I do see a similarity in the way the profile from nose to tail develops in a practically unbroken line.

I can't see any similarities . The GT4 is one of the ugly ducking Ferraris while the 458 is slick and beautiful. Not even close IMHO.

While previous posts reinforce that beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder, it is easy to see why many maintain that the the Dino, from it's inception as the 206 on, is the most beautiful design Ferrari ever created, and has shown it's influence in practically every design they created after it's inception, many of which (as in the 458) are attempts to recapture it's perfection... all from a car never intended to wear the badge Ferrari!

A man who admits to having owned a Daimler SP250 has no business talking automotive esthetics.

You've obviously suffered some sort of esthetic trauma.
There are a number of therapies and pharmaceuticals that may reduce your pain.

    ;)
With a car like that you must have a good sense of humor.

The only thing I would say is that both have intake / vents as the rear 3/4 windows slant in with a buttress like look.

Besides the colour what similarities are you seeing? A black GT4 would be closer with kinda somewhat similar shaped intakes.

Forget how a GT4 looks. The sound of that car is awesome at full throttle! It has the Weber carbs and sounds fantastic. I would like to own one someday soon.
