Am speccing my Speciale for April delivery. Was thinking of blue TDF and cuoio alcantara with black tech fabric interior. Does anyone have any pic of cuoio alcantara as i never ordered it before and would like to see if it looks nice. Your comments on the spec are appreciated btw i usually order black (458 was black) or silverstone (f12 was silverstone) and am going out a bit on a limb on this one.. BTW drove the car extensively few days ago and its pretty good....
Here's some with the seat centers in Alcantara that looks Cuoio What part of the world are you taking delivery if I may ask Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you for the pics, am thinking of doing the opposite so outside of seats cuoio alcantara and middle in black fabric with dash and pillars in cuoio alcantara. Taking delivery in switzerland
Lovely 360! You don't get to see Grigio Ingrid too often, surely one of the most understated colors of all, but I really like how it suits the 360. Crema interior, racing seats and hood are the icing on the cake!
Thanks! Mine's a bit different though, with grey alloys and black calipers. But I'm still happy with the white. Dropped by at the dealer today, mine's at Status 40 now... ;-)
Thanks for the compliment - I was thinking of odering the same combo when the 458 spider replacement arrives.
Aw man.. I gained a bit of hope about its look with the recent pictures but damn.. it's borderline hideous when you put it next to a Scuderia. Ferrari 458 Speciale in Meerbusch, ExoticsOnRoad.com Looks like those hot wheels toys http://www.exoticsonroad.com/picture/?1191390/Ferrari-458-Speciale
That tan interior with tan alcantara insert looks great. I normally hate tan interiors, but the darker appearance of the alcantara works really nicely.
Ferrari 458 Speciale - 3 January 2014 - Autogespot This Speciale has got italian Tricolore stripes...unwatchable
Why not, I personally like it! Looks like current AF Corse racing livery Image Unavailable, Please Login
congratulations to all who are lucky enough to have or will soon have a speciale. but for life of me I do not understand how vast majority of this thread is about color interior and stripe! cant we find something more exciting to talk about regarding this most exciting of all cars? slip control, sound at 9000 rpm, new gen ccm.....
+1000%. I cannot agree more. With all the engineering aspects going on, we have to see a this most of the time.
+1 (and the Scud's missing the stripes) Everything that makes the 458 so beautiful - sculpted panels with absence of vents - has been discarded to make the Speciale so ugly. The wider rear and bonnet scoop would probably look beautiful if not for the hideous front end treatment and silly looking side fins ahead of the rear wheels.
Sorry to say, but if you see it in real life it all fits perfectly together. This is not just a car, it's a sculpture... Designed to do what it is meant to do - drive as fast as possible, under all conditions and circumstances... Also it's proof that even a nearly perfect car like the Italia can be improved by doing some fine-tuning.
Well, each to his own. Sadly for me it's more an indication of the difference between Ferrari styling and Pinninfarina
You're right in some way, but you wouldn't want to try to win the concours d'elegance with a F1-car, would you? In aerodynamics sometimes function overrules form... And that given I think they did a great job... ;-)
Those silly side fins are vortex generators, like on modern aircraft wingtips. They create a vortex - think baby tornado - that goes over the rear wheels, removing chaotic flows that create drag, and replacing them with organized airflow that reduces drag. It's like having skirts on the rear wheel arches without having physical skirts present. Would you rather have physical skirts? Because that's the only way you could duplicate the effect. This is not new, either, as the fins on the underside of the rear diffuser do exactly the same thing; they create vortices that allow the high speed compressed air to reduce compression in an organized manner by spinning it out, thereby reducing drag. They aren't there to look cool, but if you know what they do, they look cool! Cheers, Geo
In Dubai that means you'll have your car in second half of Feb. Wonder if Gt3 will arrive sooner. If it goes like Italia (and you have no "special" options), next week car will be 60 and then 90, 7-10 days after that. Then they will fly it in, as they want to get paid asap. If a working day they will clear customs in one day. Pdi 2-3 days. If you have your cash ready, they'll do it in one. I will be your friend and join you on two drives in Fujairah, one with your german car and one italian.
