    So I ran across an 88 TR for sale on Craigs list out of lino lakes. I emailed the seller and after a week and a couple of attempts I get a very short response. I ask for some pics and additional info. Another couple weeks go by and I get several pics but hardly any info. Then radio silence after letting them know I'm very interested and would like to see the car.

    I know CL is a haven for scamers, teens and who knows what else, but who has the time to go to the trouble to list a car for sale there, send me several pics and then nothing... What fun does someone get out of that? My hunch is that its probably a kid posting pics of the parents car to try and get a rise out of someone... in this case me :)

    Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows of the car, the owner or anything else that might be helpful as I am very intersted in the car.

    The seller is probably a billionaire and with the recent uptick in the market, decided to keep his collection intact. I'm sure that's it.

    A $30,000 TR with no description, no posted pics, listed since Nov 22nd, and does not reply to email? Looks like a solid deal!

    To my MN F-chatters… let's all hope the window wash fluid in stored cars really does work to 25 below :)

    No, the listing to begin with was funky, but I inquired a day or two after the listing was posted, I got a respomse and then a second response including addtional pics and then zero. I'm sure it's a teenager looking to jerk some chains online between porn surfing sessions, but it also seems like a lot of trouble to send responses, pics and then dissapear

    I know CL is an odd place for a lot of things and has a questionable reputation. The chance that its a legit add was slim, however with a little detective work I found the VIN and the car has been in MN since 2003.

    No matter what the source it never hurts to track down a lead and I came here thinking someone might have some additional "helpful" information, not to be insulted....

    No offense was intended- simply commiserating over this kind of posting on CR (which is common) and lack of response. I'm sure anyone here would provide any relevant assistance they could.
