January 12th, 2014 - Legends Parking Lot at the corner of Carnelian and Baseline, Rancho Cucamonga 8:00 am to 10:00..or…

As many of you who are regulars can clearly see, we have moved the location from The Corner Bakery in Victoria Gardens to the “Legends” restaurant and adjoining parking lot at the South/East corner of Carnelian and Baseline in Rancho Cucamonga. (address for your GPS: 8775 Baseline Rd. Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 (909) 941-9555).

I think you will find Legends to be a great place to eat with a full breakfast menu. My wife and I tried one of their massive “Legends Breakfast Burritos” a few Sundays ago and greatly enjoyed it. I have yet to be disappointed with any food item served at a Legends restaurant.

Location:
Legends Parking lot at the South/East corner of Baseline and Carnelian. There is a McDonalds on the corner and Legends is just East of the McDonalds. Entering from Baseline, I would recommend the eastern most driveway off of Baseline and then keeping to my right towards the parking area. From Carnelian, I would recommend the southern most driveway and circling around the southern side of the business complex then north to the parking area. (See map with highlites.)

Directions:
From the 210 Freeway, take the CARNELIAN off-ramp SOUTH to BASELINE.

From the 10 Freeway, take the VINEYARD off-ramp NORTH to BASELINE (NOTE: Vineyard turns into Carnelian after Foothill Blvd.)

Finally, knowing how all exotic car owners are concerned about grinding off parts and pieces from the underside of their cars, I have included a set of pix depicting the access driveways. I was easily able to drive my stock-height f430 into the parking lot through the southern and eastern most driveways. I did not attempt the other two driveways. There are a few gutters in the parking lots, but those can be easily negotiated at an angle to avoid bottoming out.

I agree. VG was a great venue for us. Unfortunately, during the November event, a very youg, rude, and quite unfriendly security guard arrived and invited us to leave and not come back. Prior to his arrival everyone was on good behavior, standing around and chatting---no burn-outs, engine rev-ups or the like...just lots of food being bought from The Corner Bakery and people enjoying all the amazing cars...and then Paul Blart: Mall Cop shows up (obviously not his real name).

I spoke at length with "Blart" concerning our prior history there, prior contacts with and clearance by VG security and the blessings of "The Corner Bakery" management. I attempted to appeal to his common sense by indicating that a bunch of relatively affluent, hi-consumers with their exotic cars were undoubtedly an asset for the mall and certainly not a threat...He remained unimpressed and stuck to his resolve...he ordered us off the property and indicated he was calling the San Bernardino Sheriff's office to assist in our removal. It was approaching time to leave for the Marconi Museum tour, so I have no idea if SBSO arrived.

We are in a hermit crab stage right now, just looking for a venue in which to meet and enjoy our passion. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
