Love the helmets too. One of the few things I'd love to collect.

Still think the 2005 Renault has stunning colours.

The mild seven renault was one of the best color schemed cars ever. I miss that era

Agreed on the R25 and R26. Easily one of the better looking F1 cars ever made IMO.

    What a fantastic collection!

Heh, would have been cool if they allowed them to run each car with it's own paint scheme like originally intended. The "zipper" livery was heinous, though.

Yes and yes. However the 'two sided' nonsense was a brilliant 'up yours' to Bernie & the sporting regs of the time!

'We can't run two liveries?.... OK, we'll do this then!'

Don't recall now how long they got away with it for? Did Charlie issue a famous 'clarification'? Or did they run it thru the season?

    Cheers,
    Ian

I don't know why tobacco liveries should be 'nicer' than any others, but I do tend to agree that they did look cooler than they manage nowadays.

Why shouldn't a financial services company, or a phone co, or whatever, be able to do a cool scheme?

    Cheers,
    Ian

    Agree 100%

IIRC, they ran it the whole season.

Good question. I think a lot of cigarette companies had flashy colors/branding to stand out on the shelves. Most financial services firms/computer/technology companies have more sedate corporate colors.
