Cavallino

I'm an Atlantan but I've lived in both Palm Beach County and suburban Philadelphia in my time and I'm coming to Cavallino for the first time in about 5 years. I'll be at PBIR on Friday and at the Breakers on Saturday, and maybe we can meet up. Usually on Saturday a bunch of FChatters will usually walk up to Royal Palm Way to have lunch together.

I'll be flying down on the Friday prior to the event.

 

I will be there from California maybe we can all get together Fri night
If you aren't going to the party at the Breakers.

I wouldnt be surprised. What i like about cavallino is that you see other exotics too...you always see cars that are just out, or other special new cars. I remember I saw a rs4 and r8 before they were even on the streets one year. i hope someone or some company brings a pagani, koneseggin or a new z06 this year!

 

The "spectator" parking area at the Breakers is always worth a look. Several years ago a bunch of us were examining a Ford X1 (the open version of the GT) when it suddenly became ignored - because a Veyron had pulled into the lot!

 

Hahah, i remember! I was there. That's a great memory. Ugh, Veryons look like a VW beetle after being smooshed . I have a friend with one, and his is nice looking cause its "custom" but i dont care for them. Id rather take a garage full of F-cars and other exotics then to ever own a BOOghotti.

 

Agree with others, the spectator cars that show up are sometimes the most exciting. Don't get me wrong, the cars in the show are incredible, but there is an element of surprise to a spectator F50 or Enzo that pulls in to the Breakers.

 

Didn't event think about this, but wouldn't surprise me if there was. Although, last year I was expecting to see an F12 and the one that was circling the US ended up at the Rolex instead of Cavallino. Was very bummed about that, hopefully not the case this year.

 

Of course, you might see four Enzos parked side-by-side, and next to a (288) GTO; that has happened before.....

We need some sort of ID that we could wear that would show were on Fchat -maybe some kind of pin or something - don't know how we could distribute them

 

Guys was planning on going to wed track event and Sunday. Anyone else going to those two events? If so let me know. Thanks.

 

If anyone is planning on tracking their car on Friday let me know and I will do my best to get some good photos! Same thing goes with Saturday. Last year at the track: 458 | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

 

I will be at the track Thursday and Friday and at the show on Saturday as well as your aviation event & the party at the Breakers Friday night I leave late Saturday afternoon p.m. me or get a hold of me and maybe we can all get together we have in the past.

 

I know there are a bunch of us going this year. There are at least a dozen of us from the DC area.

We've setup happy hour/dinners in the past and enjoyed meeting all of the local FL area members as well as those who are traveling in.

Why don't we meet up at ER Bradleys on Flagler and Clematis Saturday night, the 25th?

I will confirm time and reservation this weekend. All are invited...

more likely if one were on display it might be displayed in Daytona for the 24.

sadly Cavallino has ceded some of its relevance by not working out their dates with the 24 hrs of Daytona organizers. I would hazard to say Ferrari has much more at stake with it's worldwide GT program kicking off Saturday. Last year FNA had a huge presence in Daytona with dealer's meetings, Ferrari Challenge support races, hospitality par excellance & an F12 & with one of Alonso's cars on display.

Don't know if they had a presence at Cavallino - I was in Daytona

What is going on after track time on Friday? Is there a party at the Breakers? Or, not looking at the schedule of events, that is the yacht hop night. Right? The Breakers party has been at the Seaside bar in the past. A very informal thing.
