I wouldnt do gold calipers and gold rims, its too much. If you want the blue stripe I would do maybe blue or black calipers. Personally I would do a dark rim not gold with red calipers and no stripe.

Saw one yesterday in Grigio scuro (one of the historic colours, non metallic) and the NART-stripe-scheme in silver and black.
Looked very much like a grey mouse to me...
    Wouldn't be my choice.

I think it needs the stripe, its in keeping with the lineage of it's predecessors and very much part of these track focussed cars character.

Resale would be affected when its time to move it on.

Clever marketing strategy by Maranello not to make it standard as it costs 19k in Australia for NART and Racing livery.

Get it done locally for a few grand. Remember you are paying circa 40% extra in taxes ordering it new.

You can also get those $13,500 engine bay side panels for about $3500 landed, tax paid.

That will definitely affect resale value. I bought a used scud with stripes. Unbeknownst to me, the stripes were aftermarket. I found out when I tried to sell it. Most dealers wouldn't touch it, even though they were identical to the factory job. That cost me big on trade in value. Of course if you keep the car or take the car down to full depreciation, it wouldn't matter. Just saying...

Agree, Dealers are notorious for talking your car down during trade-up time, " not the original stripe, doesn't have lift system, aftermarket carbon engine bay.....blah, blah, blah"

That's why you pay $13,000 for engine bay carbon on the Speciale, because they know we learnt the hard way when we took the cheaper path. You just need to find a sensible balance but keep resale very much front of mind when speccing your next car.

I am talking hand painted stripes just like the originals, not aftermarket stickers.
My 430 Scud has custom carbon fibre panels and an OEM carbon fibre rear deck fitted after delivery. Had to be painted and stripes redone. The dealer couldn't pick which parts of the stripes were factory and which were done locally. The only factory stripe left is on the roof and the local job is actually better if anything. Factory stripe has slight bleeding on edges at a few points.

There is carbon fibre and there is carbon fibre I know. It costs a lot to make perfect parts, I've been down that road myself.
The engine bay panels I am talking about are indistinguishable from the factory items, right down to the weave. Buy and fit the OEM stickers and no visual inspection will pick it up. If the dealer could be bothered checking the factory delivery info they would of course pick it up; but why would they when a visual inspection gives no clue.

Pay the $13.5k if money doesn't matter; but I can't see the point of throwing it way because of dealer BS on resale. They won't give you one dollar more for the $13.5k panels come trade in time.

Wow I didn't realize the engine bay carbon was a $13K option! What a scam.......why don't they just make the engine a $125K option?

Then again, better not give the factory any ideas....

These were not stickers. The only reason they were discovered to be not from the factory was they checked with FNA. They were perfect and indistinguishable from factory. Maybe better. And they cost me money on resale. Bigtime

Unless the stripes were of some weird colour or shape, sadly the dealer ripped you off if they were done as well as you say.
You can bet the dealer didn't tell the next owner they were non-factory. It is definitely possible to do the stripes to the same or better standard after delivery.

i.e. A much bigger rip-off than the rest of the world gets hit with.

I'm telling you the stripes were identical. I wasn't told when I bought it (I didn't know I had to ask if they were factory) and I'm sure the current owner doesn't know it.
