    I think these are just cool looking old planes. I recall one a few months back on ebay for not much at all. This one looked rather rough as well from the interior pictures before the mishap. Had to hurt, anyone know what happened?

    ASN Aircraft accident 03-DEC-2013 Aero Commander 680-E N71DF

    Those engines are only a 1500 hour TBO, I believe, and generally don't make it that far, so they were pretty high time.

    I can't imagine why anyone would buy the wreck, except to melt it down. The engines can't be worth much, it has ancient avionics, and it didn't look like there were many other usable parts.

    Interior shots were before the crash... aren't they?

    Ok the broken windshield pic... maybe blood... hard to tell.
