Just picked up my F12 last week. Same day had the vacuum lines disconnected from the exhaust valves. Marvellous. Sounds good now! Also, just changed the interior bulbs to LEDs from the OEM incandescent bulbs. I prefer the colour temperature of the LEDs being more white white than yellow. Very simple to do. 8 x 501/W5W/T10 3 x festoon (239) Boot has 3 festoon bulbs - very easy to pop out the bulb holders and replace the bulbs. Doors, footwells and glovebox use 5 of the 501s. Again very easy to pop off the cover and replace. The overhead panel uses 3 501s. The manual is inaccurate in its removal. (Manual says just pry it off with screwdriver - totally wrong). Remove the horseshoe shaped insert from the rear - there are 2 clips, one on each side and 2 hooks at the front. That then exposes 3 3mm allen bolt heads. Undo those and the unit comes down for access to the 3 bulbs. I used 2 'spot' types for the reading light and a 'flood' type for the central light. Much brighter, whiter light than the filament bulbs.

Im surprised they don't come from the factory with all LEDs, given how cheap they are. Yes yes, I know the incandescents are cheaper...
Very simple. Put it on a ramp and drop the rear part of the under tray. Support the under tray as it is connected by 2 pipes to the body. Then behind rear wheels look up and you will see the valves on the rear muffler. Disconnect the blue vacuum line on each muffler. Plug the line with a screw, then cap off the valve with a bit of tape or similar. Reattach under tray. Done. Takes 10 mins max.
There have been some funny electrical faults from replacing the bulbs with LEDs on other models of Ferraris. If you get something squirrely, make sure it is not the LEDs causing the problem.
No problems with interior bulbs as there is no current sensor to check for blown bulbs. For the exterior I wouldn't mess with as they can need resistors inline to fool the bulb check system. No issues in week 1 post install used as a DD.
Don't think so, as the wheel liner meets up with the undertray so you cant get at the muffler without dropping the undertray. If you have a friendly garage nearby with a lift it takes 10 mins max to do it.
Very nice. Not too loud at all, no resonance or booming. Just a subtle increase in noise. It's still quieter than my V 12 vantage with quicksilver and it's way quieter than my M5 with turner back box delete. I'm only keeping this f 12 for 3 months until my specced car arrives. On that one I may do a capristo or tubi back box to really hear it sing.
