    I was returning from a meeting downtown yesterday and was walking into the parking garage. As I prepared to enter the elevator, this "dude" exits and walks by with an overgelled faux-hawk and some lame gray Kenneth Cole urban jacket. He was way underdressed for the actic temps. But he was also wearing way too much cologne. After he passed by and while I was in the elevator, I noticed this overpowering baby powder odor, or way too much Lavender. On a guy? Really? I wasn't sure, but I could swear I saw "yet another" BMW on the floor as I headed to my baby beast (since the 348 is tucked away for winter.) Am I wrong to think this? LOL, I can't help it, it just hit me this way as it all unfolded. A Beemer poof. To each thier own...I'm just sayin.'
    ;)
    So loving my gated 5-speed.
    :D

    you're making fun of the guy for the brand of clothes and the scent he wears, but you were able to determine the brand of clothes and scent he wears?

    Excellent point! And as a guy myself, he has skills I don't have...for some reason. Btw, I really enjoy driving my M6.

    LOL. Those were awesome replies. I knew I was stepping into the fray and just thought I'd talk a little trash to entertain the Tifosi here. It is a Ferrari site right?

    I was just guessing on the brands and was not implying any "gaydar" so much as flaming excess. Honestly, I work and live in a highly diverse and tolerant environment. That's where I really come from so this was more a jest about "excessive jewlery" and that sort of thing and a dig at BMWs. Seriously though, he could have walked up to a Mondial, and I would have had to change my term.

    Have a good weekend.

    ;)

    Don't back pedal. You called a guy gay by pointing out he smelled like lavender and that he drives a BMW. Yes, you did indicate "gaydar" when you told us your story about how a guy is a poof because he drives a BMW, wears a Kenneth Cole jacket and smells like lavender and baby powder.

    WHY WERE YOU CHECKING THIS GUY OUT ENOUGH TO SPOT ALL OF THAT STUFF?

    You have that backwards.

    Bimmer = car

    Beamer = motorcycle

    A friend has a dog named Beemer (Beamer). He never spelled it so I am not sure which.
    Nice dog. A mutt.

    And yes a Bimmer is a car and a Beemer has two wheels.

    Best.

    BTW I have a few bottles of cologne...don't use it cause my natural body fragrance is such a turn on to hot women. ;)

    Best.

    OK Bimmer was the term I intended, I just never use it much. ;) And please, I wasn't checking anything out, IT WAS FORCED OPON ME and everyone else within a 50 ft. radius or anyone that had the misfortune of stepping onto that elevator. THAT'S what I was talking about and I've said it twice already. You have to admit that that kind of excess is antisocial and self centered. Totally lacking in class or consideration. Lavender and baby powder (or whatever they were) can be cute on women and babies, but a dude, and turned up to 11? Cultured and talented style needs no introduction or shock value. It's reputation preceeds itself like a Pininfarina body. Understand?

    Didn't you JUST get your Ferrari? Now you're the coolest guy on the planet. What's self centered and classless is you calling out BMW owners and people that dress differently than you and accusing them of being gay. You weren't checking him out? How long did it take you to notice all of the things you listed, plus the car you watched him walk to. YOU WATCHED HIM WALK ALL THE WAY TO HIS CAR.

    It's okay if you're interested in guys, it's not a big deal, no need to be so defensive.

    LOL!

    I'm pretty sure I would have been clueless to the clothes / scent...I thought "Beemer Poof" meant the quality of BMWs were suspect. :D
