    I don't see anyone mentioning anything about the Turbo version in that thread.

    I am surprised that Porsche never made a 996 or 997 Turbo Targa given all the variants of the 911 they made. My favorite 911 would have been a 993 Targa Turbo S. :) Some guy in California made one with even complete engine and interior swap and looks amazing.
