SN #87085, no other details so far. Guesses on value anyone/everyone? 1990 Ferrari F40 | Arizona 2014 | RM AUCTIONS
My crystal ball just told me that bidders will value it a LOT more than you paid for yours Think 7 figures. Meanwhile, I hope you are enjoying the car, and Seasons Greetings to you & your family.
i am holding off having my car re-evaluated until after arizona so i dont have to do it again ! i am pleased in a way, but kind of scratching my head - these rises in price are just too much too crazy.
Ah, thanks for the heads up on this one! Interesting that it's going back on the block so quickly (likely due to the insane hike in market values 2nd half of this year). It passed the block at Amelia Island / Gooding Co. earlier this year with ~7050mi on the clock. Sold for $715k, including Buyer's Fee.
Yeah. I'm watching carefully from the sidelines for now. The last time I experienced super quick valuation rises like this, I rode the dot com bubble, and the dot bust. And it's not restricted to just Ferrari supercars. Cars like the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 have gone from trading hands at ~$180k to ~$350k in the past 6-9 months.
It currently has an estimate of $800,000 to $1,000,000 with a reserve. It has about 7,000miles. RM says they placed the estimate low to stimulate bidding.
those seats are in poor shape. fortunately they didn't cut out the door panels for the stereo speakers. and whats that button on the passenger side? anybody know mileage? looks like 10k+.
It had 6,000 miles when it was for sale through Ferrari Beverly Hills in 1995, and 6,900 miles when it was for sale through them again in 2000. In '95, it was listed as a one-owner car; in 2000, it was advertised as a local car, all service records, "not a tracked car."
Jeez they must have been some serious back road miles if that cars only done 7000 of them. Ex moonshine car !
Was hoping for this rough looking (according to pics) example to sell for over a million. How much was the buyers premium? 5.5%?
I know of a 10K miles car that just sold for 1M and change...I don't think higher mile or abused cars will sell for 1.2M today....the low mile clean cars seem to be going at 1.2 to 1.3 rather quickly
The interior and engine bay pics. In comparison to other cars and my own car it doesn't look as clean.
Was it cosmetic issues with this car or that RM had an off night or combination of both that brought a lower than expected price?
Everyone thinks that all F40s are equal. They were all put together so differently, there are definitely good cars and bad car and some made rougher by owners who only buy them as statues. This car went for more than I would have paid for it. By a good bit.
Andrew, I've looked at it in person 5 times over the last year. I was there before the auction and inspected it with a friend and we agreed on the faults, although I seem to be more picky than him and others. Call me or text me and I'll fill you in.
