    Where did you obtain the new suspension components ? Some people have had 'mixed results,' with one of the aftermarket suppliers.

    Looks like the suspension bits are made by Frapp? Looks like the same package. The castor joints are alfa parts with an M14 thread as opposed to M18 on the alfa part.

    I had them completely remanufactured by Pierce Manifolds (THE Weber gurus). They charge approximately $450/ 45DCOE (x6=$2,700.00) I also had them restore the intake manifold and all pipes, fittings, and linkages. This extra work brought the total to about $3,400.00 with freight. Not cheap, but well worth it to be able to use the original items supplied with the car; and still have "new" carbs to top off your restoration.

    Yes, the Lamborghini items have different threads. People have been trying forever to avoid the "Lamborghini tax" when it comes to these. As painful as it is to spend five figures for a box of heim joints, bushings, and steering joints , I think these cars deserve to be put "right"...

    I just try to find those, "Protection cup"s, but didn't
    I need 26 of them. Weber don't have them. Maranello Classics don't have...

    btw: You find them in follownig models:

    It's is kind of odd, it seems like cap where not always instaled, I don't see how othervise none have survive in my cars.

    I need the black clips not the white cups.

    From my understanding the black clips were installed at the factory so it could meet EPA regulations back in 1984.

    Before I let that one bozo touch my car no one and I mean no one had ever messed with the carbs as you can see by the black clips. ALL of mine were in tact and perfect.

    I have 4 that are slightly on the brittle side. If I can't find them from a vendor I'm just going to have them made. Granted they will be expensive, but I hope to offset the costs by having 100's of them made and offering them to everyone that has these older Webers.

    By the way just in case anyone is wondering.... I sprayed corrosion x on the carbs and linkage to make sure everything was nice and free. The linkage was and cable was a little stiff from lack of use.

    I just ordered 32 White caps

    I don't see these black cap as "EPA" stuff as european market BB also have these listed as spare part and all carburators have metal pins to suport this part. They are for protect CO screw and keep them stedy.

    Does all CT's have these? My car 1982 does not.

    Yes, that's basically what it looked like when it came to me. Well above average, and very presentable overall. Now we are aiming to create a SUPERIOR example of a 5000S :)

    Are you pulling both tanks due to leakage?
    They are known to leak thru microscopic holes in the aluminum.

    The tanks aren't leaking. Just taking "while we are there" precautions with ENTIRE fuel system.
