I like it, good livery change. Those sidepods give us an idea about the Mercedes powertrain packaging too.

Nice battle, for second and third. Apologies for being Dutch, but I was happy to see Guido van der Garde in front of both of them :)

Not ugly at all but a massive improvement with the lower nose. Of course we haven't seen it from a front angle but the high nose of the last several years has been ungainly.

Love the look of the new Force India livery. Much better than the white, I think.

I'm hearing several teams will be testing noses during testing.

    Hah! Told ya! :p ;)

There's only so much you can do with the rear diffuser these days.... The narrower, lower noses are the big unknown IMO. They want the air either under it or around the outside of the front tires. They'll start to figure it out next week.

    Cheers,
    Ian

    Ouch! ;)

Gotta be honest, and I don't know why, but Cyril kind of annoys me for some reason. STFU and get on with it. Whining about 'em being 'ugly' isn't doing him any good at all.

    Cheers,
    Ian

Precisely....don't worry about us. We just want to see great racing. Personally, I'm excited to see what teams develop with such a revolutionary change this year.

with my amateur testing of colors and temperature. Black actually isn't the "hottest color" it with certain materials and sheen's red and brown can be a hotter temperature because they tend to absorb the heat/sunlight as opposed to reflect as black does.

The other thing is... the area that needs to be cooled will already be subject to heat hotter than the sun beating on the panel therefore the color will be irrelevant.

Also, whats more important on these cars is the material that is used as opposed to the pigment in which it is finished. We are talking about some pretty "extreme" temperatures and the black t-shirt is hotter than a white t-shirt just wont have any weight.

Hopefully I didn't just misunderstand what you said and go off on a random tangent.

    LOL

As long as it's not the penis nose, then it's ok. Doesn't show anything 'hanging out' up front at the moment :D
