I hope I'm wrong, however they have obscured the view of the nose. It was sketched and posted on Twitter earlier and well, penis... As I said, I hope I'm wrong. :/

If you zoom in close on the nose of the Force India you can see where the light reflection breaks and goes from darker to lighter. It's near the tip of the black paint that is above the "C" in Challenge.

This is the point on the nose that it becomes a penis. This season is going to be interesting...

*sigh* cry, I'm sure I'll laugh about it next year when they make some other rule forcing them to not look like this.

Williams using a 'mini' beam wing that fits within the rules. Scarbs pointed this out. Expect to see clever interpretations of this is my guess.

Williams' exhaust is exiting to a Y100 winglet (monkey seat) in attempt to aid flow under the rear wing.

    Per Scarbs re Caterham:

The Caterham nose is like a long tube-like structure, with the shape flaring out as it meets the front bulkhead. Then a simple a vanity panel forms the aero shape above. Two small narrow spaced pillars mount the front wing.

Not I, but I am worried that these are going to be the ugliest F1 cars in history

It sure ain't the prettiest car I've ever seen, but it's not *that* bad IMO. Wasn't that long ago that the snow plough front wings were going to be the death of F1 and we kinda got used to those.

    I guess it's simply a question of timing but this kind of comment always surprises me;

If you think the 'rev2' upgrade package is an improvement, why not build it that way in the first place?

    Cheers,
    Ian

Well it's that nose the rest is okish, BMW walrus nose was bad, but as you say you sort of get used to them.

    from Scarbs re intercooling:

From what I’ve seen the installed cooler area is about 50% bigger, even with double pass and double stacked coolers.

In the sidepods the coolers will run as far back as alongside the engine and be wider as the fuel tank volume has been significantly narrowed. But still the sidepods will need to be bulkier in their mid-section to house the coolers and have the ducts route the air into them and space for them to vent over the engine heat shielding to the tail of the top body. The undercut can still be quite sever as there little underneath the rad\ducting and the tail end can be slim as the exhausts are wrapping up and over the engine.
I’m also told the SIPS are not as wide as some teams exploited last year, so narrow front pods will be a possibility as teams understand the cars actual cooling needs.
Visually the pods will end up looking quite similar to pre-coanda set ups

You're being over dramatic as usual. No one is saying that these noses will be the "death of F1" but they're ugly as absolute sin.

Sniff Petrol or someone needs to do an article about new spherical winglets below the nose. The illustrations would be enlightening.
