    u can hear plenty ...

and the comms are not for chatting ...

the leader calls out traffic when on twisty 'b' roads ... thus aiding safe overtaking ... without which u may not be able to overtake a slow moving truck for miles ...

there are a number of other reasons why it's required ... can explain to you when we meet next ...

Especially on road blocks for the advance party :D

No prob mate. I actually have two but misplaced them & one with Leang.

Well, we do a 1000 miles of the Mille Miglia & comm set is probably forbidden for the competitors plus the navigator is occupied with Tulip map. We drive on open roads with some police assistance but most of the time we're "blind" in the mountains so it trains your skill+instinct & I was driving RHD in a LHD country so the navigator is useful!

We also do a lot of hill drives in Malaysia without comm set & no issue. Our pioneers have also been racing around without such convenience though some probably proved fatal :p

Anyway my POV is technology is useful but not essential just like some people forget how to drive manual cars after sticking too long with auto.

I am trying to research how many right hand drive 412s remain and notice that there are at least two in Singapore. I have the chassis details of the white one with red interior (registration SFA 412T) but wondered if anyone knows the chassis number of the red one with tan interior (registration SGV 632C). I think the red/tan car used to be blue/crema.
Also if anyone knows of any other RHD 412s in Singapore I would be interested to hear.

Have the meet laaaaaaa. Its really been a long time since we all met up. How about a dinner? No need for a long drive, maybe a short one, and then quick to dinner.

Always away. Poor car is being left at home with no TLC.

Everyone's got ego...its just how well managed it is..... :) I prefer to let others talk and feed themselves with ego, and kick back with a bag of popcorn and watch the entertainment.

Think only those two left. IIRC both my friends owned them some years ago. The white one was with a chatter here for few years while I took a test drive & the blue/cream was owned by a lady friend who painted it red & changed the interior.

I saw one in KL few months ago but you know that not many people pay attention to them.

    Good day!

was cleaning the car for CNY... got very irritated by the "sticky" portion on the steering rack.. It always leave a stain on my fingernails etc when I insert the key to start the car...

Is there a chemical or something for me to get rid of the sticky melting surface ?

    Thanks!

Just go to DIY or hardware shops to buy alochol/spirit & start cleaning with old rag. Don't use tissue or it'll be a mess.

Thinner might be too strong for the plastics in cars but u can try a small area first. There's several threads in Fchat for those sticky bits so just hit the search buttons.

Which helmet did u have that comes with those rubbery coating?
