Considering how wrong the little information that is provided is, I have my doubts.

According to Barchetta yes, but there is no chance that the other 5 tubes made it to a later production. No way.

6 tubs total, with the latter 3 being destroyed by Italian court order. There was only F50GT built by Ferrari, the other two were put together by two other companies. 001 is VERY special and not for sale, but I don't believe this dealer is selling 002 or 003 either.

    I don't believe this.

I would imagine that these cars would sell privately if they were to ever change hands. If someone is in the market, they've already expressed interest with the owners due to rarity.

For what it's worth, 003 previously sold at auction.

The last 3 were destroyed because Art was told it was a one off and Ferrari continued producing them, right?

I emailed the fa-automobile person over a year asking for information on the F50 GT for sale (this was May 2012). He said it was no longer available. After I saw him post a second ad up (without ever removing the first), I figured he was doing it to attract more views to his website.

Oakfields had sold #003 before and currently does not list the car on their website.

It was for sale in Japan back in 2010 for 270 million Yen ($3 million USD by exchange rate at that time). The website was Wintel.co.jp, and then I think LightAuto posted it to their website.

I'm sure there are difference between #001 and the #002 and #003 cars, but after having seen photos of #003 without its bodywork...I can't believe they are really that much different.

Also, #002 hasn't publicly traded hands, but the owner of the car, Yoshikuni Okamoto, appears to have been thinning out his collection. His CLK LM and CLK GTR were listed on Euro Classics' website for a while, but no longer (likely sold). Euro Classics' profile on Classic Driver shows some cars in their photo gallery. Most of which are Mr. Okamotos (F50 GT, F40 LM, the CLKs, etc). http://www.classicdriver.com/en/user/euro-classics?sort_bef_combine=field_car_drive+ASC&=Search

I wouldn't be surprised if that one has been sold either, but not advertised.

    ah, yes, time flies!

I wonder how much they'd ask if one were to come up for sale again.

The only thing I would like to add to this thread is......This is one of my top Ferrari's! Walking through the bookstore and seeing my forst Forza mag, I think it was issue #7 with a photo spread on this car........love at first sight!

3x road car price at best imo. Probably wouldn't get more than $4mm for it at auction after fees. That's considering spares are probably hard to come by. Can't be used on road. No racing pedigree. Still worth a lot simply because it's rare and a Ferrari. Realistically, it shouldn't go for more than $2mm, but it seems like Ferrari supercars recently have been spiking in asking price. This is just all a guess...it's so rare that there is no market to really gauge it. It's worth whatever one person is willing to pay for it.
