Hi guys Happy CNY. It's good to see some familiar dudes on here again. I was wondering if anyone can point me to where I can get some Authentic 360/430 carbon fiber sports seats if possible. Here in the UK the seats are a rare ... I was wondering if there are any Potong Kereta shops in KL/ klang valley that have them or if any of you have seen them in a shop. I'm back in Malaysia in April so would like to pick them up if possible and at an affordable price. Colour or condition is not a problem..

Simple. Either you want a Ferrari or not. You can't simply compare them to other cars. Yes, there are much better cars you can get for that price range. But passion? Spirit? the excitement you get when you turn the engine on...it's all priceless. My job requires me to drive a lot. And i did lots of track events at Sepang, at my previous job. However, till today, my head still turn, and i smile to myself whenever i see an old 512 TR, or a 360, or whatever Ferrari. I see R8s everyday, a good friend of mine owns a GTR. It's all just nice to look at. But i don't appreciate it as much as i see or hear a Ferrari. This is a great forum, consisting great members with lots of knowledge, not like some other forums. So yes, you will get your answer and facts here. Believe me.
Should be our usual suspect Anyhow, there's 3 Porsche 918 allocated for our shores. 2 have been paid in full. One just booking fee.
Around 1 year ago, it was reported in Top Gear Malaysia magazine that there are already 8 confirmed orders by Malaysians for the Porsche 918 Spyder. (@murcie, do you remember?) Perhaps some prospective buyers changed their mind.
Perhaps Porsche has played their cards too long on the 918 & now overshadowed by LaFerrari & P1. Timing is everything & buyers today are not as patient as before.
US$3K per job is an average & some parts alone can burn US$10K. Eg. clutch =US$3K, F1 pumps etc US$3K they usually last a few years & depends on user as well. Some drivers toast a clutch in 1K km while some do 30K km. You'll be surprised that some early 430s are below Rm400K now so it has become accessible but most dealers will sell them for nearer to 500K. I saw a yellow 360 spider with a dealer on the left of Damansara toll exit towards Uptown last week. Gong Hei Gong hei! Thanks for the pics to cheer us up ^^ Hello mate, welcome back! I think it'll be tough to find those seats in KL but please do drop by Naza & they might have a pair sitting in a corner or visit those old timers who support the 355 Challenge races etc. I do have one pair but keeping it for a car so can't sell them I think you have better chances in UK though. Wonderful car especially in black! Happy New Year
how much the price??...i guess it's about more than rm8 mill after taxed Sent from my GT-S5830 using Tapatalk 2
if theres f430 around that rm400k mark i would like too see it. is theres any link/location of it? coz so far i see only rm490k lowest. that really out of budget haha
Well. Put your name out & maybe Christmas will come early so start learning more about the model & when the opportunity comes you'll be the first to grab the deal.
The Top Gear report was just speculation. I used to work at Porsche Glenmarie before. Hence, it's not so high numbers as TG reported As for pricing, it's definitely more than 8 mil. Pretty much depends on which package you take. The confirmed orders from what i recall is the standard package.
haha bro.....now i'm confused.....i bet you're confused as well....just keep her lah man..... anyway , highly doubt you'll find your seats here....i'll call up and check if naza knows of any lying anywhere? ps: you don't like sitting comfy do you?!!!!
Haha.. You bet I'm confused. It's just the thing I wanted to do the my car since I bought it.. I secretly hope she stays with me :-( Anyways cars with the carbon fiber seats fetch a premium here and easier to sell. In regards to comfort... My bum has enough adipose tissue to cushion the stiff suspension Thank you for the info SF and bk thank you for offering to ask Naza. Kind regards
Anyone knows how much for an AP for a 993 Porsche? Please PM me if not convenient to reply here. Thanks
Can you still bring in a 993? Can't remember the exact figures but last was nothing more than 5yrs old or over 25yrs for classic status (Usually about Rm50K+/-) while those age in-betweens are not allowed.
Yes you are right, i was just inform about that too. But apparently there might still be a way if you can get someone who is working / studying in the uk for the past 9 months, you are allowed to bring one in. Oh well,
Not sure if a student/returning talent can import such an old Porsche but the AP that they issued mandates that you cannot sell it for the first two years My friend just brought back his Merc from UK. The AP is free but the customs duty is Rm120K! payable in cash & that model is no more than Rm200K here. Wasted his AP, should've brought back a better car. If your friend's 993 is not a special model then no point bringing home as 993s are trading for Rm200K+/- locally now.
guys even if it is an AP for a student or someone having lived in the UK for a bit, won't the restrictions on the AP still be the same for the age of the car ie not older than 5 yrs or more than 25 yrs old only?
no age limit for student AP...also same for malaysian who work in oversea Sent from my GT-S5830 using Tapatalk 2
Fantastic! But got to shop carefully. I did see a rare Alfa Romeo SZ Zagato (LHD) with my car valet one morning couple of years ago in Bangsar & was told it was brought back after the guy finished his study. Got some pics of it somewhere.
