    Will,
Do you have a list of all of the modifications which were made?

I will look for a complete list. In general, ANSA took new US spec Fiat Abarths and built them to the CCR Abarth series spec, which included upgraded suspension and brakes, the usual safety equipment plus a transponder, and other goodies. I suspect mine is the lowest priced new one of these on the market.

We have one of these, #13. ANSA did a nice job on all of these cars.

We have ours road-registered in CT and I've used it around town. Some states have heartburn with inspections, since this car does NOT have airbags or a horn, has race harnesses and a full cage - so as a 2012/13 model year violates some DOT laws. These all start as new cars off the lot, so are titled. In fact, the powertrain is stock and the warranty is still in force...

We keep ours at the local track, and have modified it (pedals, shifter, poured seat) for my daughter to drive. So far, we have several thousand track miles with no problems, though I would like to add some brake cooling and figure out how to de-boost the brake power.

We run ours with Hoosier R6's on the OZ wheels; you need to drop the car as low as you can, and stiffen it way up. The KW springs/shocks are adjustable, but in the end, it's a Fiat 500 so there is only so much you can do....

On the road, it's a lot lighter than a stock Abarth and drives much sharper...but it's totally stripped so it's LOUD.

Has not sold. I don't know about road registration; I am the original owner and the car has never been titled. ANSA shipped a pallet full of parts removed in the conversion, and I still have all of that (goes with the car, of course).

I wondered about that as well. I'm certainly no expert on the matter, but my understanding is that they need to be as close to shoulder height as possible to eliminate compressive forces in a sudden deceleration event.

As those belts are now, the belt opening in the seat would act as a fulcrum and eliminate the compressive force, but I don't know if the seats are designed with that in mind and would hold up in an accident.

Seems like it would be easy to add a cross bar to the cage that was level with the belt openings, so shouldn't be a big deal either way.

Back on topic, this car looks like more fun than a barrel of strippers! ;)

I think Will sold this car, but I believe Pete Spinella at Universal Autosports has one in similar condition. We have one of these original first 15, they are a blast.

They need a little setup but my daughter runs ours with Hoosiers and it's a blast. Also street legal...
