I'm currently stuck between TDF and Blu Scozia, meanwhile I've selected all the other options; previously owned TDF on a 360 spyder and loved it
Valid point. My california is flat black and it makes the car seem much more muscular than it really is. Silverstone has a rich look, deep look. TDF is sportier.
TDF looks close to black in low light conditions. It lights up in sunlight or bright artificial light where it is gorgeous. So if black concerned you because it tends to hide the sculpture on the F12, TDF will also do that under low light conditions. Silverstone may be a better bet for you.
I guys. Is there anybody out there that would be so kind as to Color the Hood of this in Black? I have no clue how to do it, but was curious to know how it would look. Many Thanks!
Sorry, I thought I had attached a picture of the F12 to demonstrate. It is the front/side view of a Rossa Corsa. I have seen two tone but doesn't look good for me, but wondered if a hood would?
We have fully speced our F12 for delivery in June but still debating on final color, Rosso Corsa or Rosso Berlinetta - any opinion much appreciated. The car will be "sportive" with black under door cover and outer mirrow black inserts, matt griorgio corsa wheels, privacy rear windows and NO chrome on front grille. Interior leather and alcantara, both in nero, and full carbon, racing seats, no color stitching but the "painted inner insert" in car color. So we wonder which red fits better to this specs. Unfortunately I never saw both colors in real at the same time with similar "sportive" specs. We like the "3D effect" of the Rosso Berlinetta but not sure if Rosso Corsa would fit the F12 with this specs better. Any views (or pics) much appreciated. Thanks
Rosso Berlinetta is far more beautiful and suits the F12 much much better. But its best combined with Cuoio interior. Corsa is kinda flat in comparison and doesnt look good on any GT IMHO. Only Scuderia and Giallo are worse choices.
I went with r. berlinetta, though it is expensive, almost $27K in US. My reasons are that I think the newer angular designs look better in a metallic paint. In sunlight it is brilliant. Also it is the color Ferrari used at debut in Geneva two years ago. I'm sure that Ferrari well thought what color to use. I went with cuoio interior (black dash top and carpets), with new race seats and all carbon interior except door panels. There I went with the painted insert trim as you have stated. I won't take delivery until about 4 weeks, so I have no pictures to show. In the end, it is your preference. Practically every color looks good.
I also ordered Rosso Berlinetta, really like the color in person...now just need the weather to get better so I can actually drive it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you. Looks very nice. Is your roof black alcantara? I believe that is standard. What did you do for the parcel shelf? I did black leather with diamond stitching in beige chiaro, which is the color of the thread I used throughout. I went with black alcantara in the trunk area as well.
As a non-F12 owner but fan of the design, I have only 2 gripes with it that I've modified on the pics below: 1. Rear section behind rear wheel extended - I feel its too short currently and looks better elongated - now looks like a true heir apparent to the 550/575 2. Front hood/fender air channel line eliminated/smoothed out so you can no longer see that specific line Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow sorry to toot my own horn but if you see the pics of the new California T, it looks almost exactly like these renderings! They basically took the F12 and extended the rear while eliminating the air scallop line into the hood. I think it's beautiful and Ferrari's best design in some time!
Nope, that is incorrect. The F12 and the California don't share dimensions or basic structure. It just happens that the California has a longer rear overhang than the F12. The F12 was meant to be smaller and lighter than the 599 and that is what they have done with it. Well done Ferrari, the F12 is just stunning.
