    Hey guys, how are you?
I am looking forward to buy a 360 challenge stradale, the car have 25.000km and looks good but i have some doubts ! Its an old car and its common to have some little problems, do you know what kind of problems it should have? I am afraid to buy a car that will live in the dealer.
Do you have some experience with this model?
Thanks guys, i am waiting your answers!

My 2003 CS has almost 25000 km's on it now, no problems at all!

Make sure to check clutch wear, CCB wear and timing belt service (should be changed every 3-5 years).

cars are bullet proof!! do all the above...

also look at service records... has it been properly cared for?? look at what warranty work has been done too it....

never have had ANY issues with mine! other that horrible factory paint, that was remedied under warranty...

I got mine in April last year. I have had no problems except headliner falling down (have driven it about 3500mi). However and this is a big however, I had a very good Ferrari mechanic do a thorough PPI. He found the following:

    1-faulty (leaking) fuel pump
    2-transmission mounts needed replacement
    3-cam belt covers leaking
    4-annual and belt service needed
The inspection saved me money and headaches. All these things were done by dealer before sale.

It is a great car that you should love. Good luck.

    The services must be done.
You should check as others described.
I have 29k km on mine and a lot of it was on track and getting to them. Very solid cars as long as maintenance is not neglected. The transmission sometimes needs to be ref lashed. The passenger door lock failed.

I have had a lot of work done on the car but that was normal after two hard track seasons. Now it is retired from track use and its solid.

It is not the most comfortable car, but it is probably the modern iteration of an f40, so it is raw and needs to be treated with some caution and respect.
It is also the only 360 that will hold its value.
You will not regret the purchase.

Start by reading the buyers guide at the top of this section - it covers general 360 problems - then look out for similar previous threads

I had mine for 18 months now. Soon after purchasing it the power would be lacking. I took it to an inde and he couldn't figure it out. then took it to a second inde (for the common CCB squeak) and he diagnosed it.
$6000 later and it had ran just fine the past 12months and 2500 miles.

James- Betcha that was cam covers leaking and not cambelt covers leaking. The latter would be a major problem.

up until this day I am still not sure of the problem. After a regular fluid change with the second inde, it had not popped up for about a year now. Running strong.

the most annoying thing about the car is the CCB squeak. Neither inde can do anything about it so I try the multiple hard braking but that's a iffy solution.

I'd lose that bet. I recheck and indeed it was the cam covers that were replaced not cambelt covers. Thanks for clarifying that.

My car has about 57K Km (36K miles) on it and is on it's second clutch, and first set of CCB brakes with less than 10% wear on them, but the car has not been tracked. It has been regularly maintained.

I drove the car from Tucson AZ to Monterey CA and back last August for car week without so much as a hiccup. AC blowing and the miles ticking by, all 1800 of them or about 2000 in 5 days of driving.

I will echo the other items mentioned here as all 360's seem to eat engine/trans mounts, have exhaust bracket issues (easy fix) but the one item I haven't seen anyone mention is ball joints and those should be replaced with Hill Engineering bits which are of a much higher quality and equal, if not better, performance.

And as others have also already stated the CS is the car to buy.

I've had mine for 3.5 years and it has been bullet proof. Other than service, I have had to change the battery.

And all you CS guys that are planning on doing the CS Reunion Tour this Summer, time is ticking. I need your registrations! :)

20k mile here and owned it for 3.5 years, great/reliable car and the only problem I had was battery died and had to replace to a new one. It was a painful process doing this myself in a tight single car garage. My back did not recover until a week later. Services are all done according to factory recommendation and by one of the best independent.
