Euro QVs in North America?

My euro 308 was assembled in October 1983!...could very well be one of mine. I wish there was a way to know.

My euro 308 was converted by Ron Spangler @ Prancing Horse Farms...however, I have no sticker on my door jam (and no Ferrari data plate) from either the importer nor conversion company. Is this normal?

Oh no, some shops were more well known and brought in many cars, I suppose because they successfully retrieved the Bond once mods were passed.

 

i know exactly where prancing horse farms is.back in the day i remember big ferrari trailers lined up the road when he used to throw partys. i only have the sticker in the door jamb showing the importer name . no data plate like US cars

Please add 48179 a 1984 red with tan GTSi to your list. purchased in 1983 in Pittsburgh,Pa.
I believe it was originally delivered in Austria.

 

Don't want to derail the thread but if any of you have a 84/85 Euro your thinking of selling please drop me a PM.

 

I wish it still had the sticker. It DOES have the plate in the engine bay saying it was imported to Pozzi in France. That is where it was sold new.

 

I've seen a handful with red dashes. Someone on here has a red on red 308 which you might think would look terrible but it actually is gorgeous. I almost pulled the trigger on an 85 QV GTB Red with a Red dash and Creme interior about 5 years ago. It was for sale in Florida. You could really special order about any color of dash / interior but it was very rare. I've also seen a blue dashed car with a silver exterior that was gorgeous. The 80's was a colorful time

I just found this thread, mine is a 1985 GTS no. 58655. Red over tan, it has been in the US since 1986 and I have owned it since 1998. Currently waiting out the Wisconsin winter. I've heard that 100 in the US number before, but the fact that so many of them can be accounted for rather quickly makes me wonder if there aren't a lot more.

 

The car mentioned in post # 106 is not in Northeast Ohio. I have that car now. It went from Florida to Rhode Island. It is an 84 Euro QV GTB #50375. It has black interior. I can't get the chassis number right now. The car is stacked up with other cars in the garage. Right now we are frozen solid with more bad weather on the way tonight.

 

I have heard the number is somewhere around 200, I tend to believe it.

 

I'd imagine a few more have made their way here over the years, especially when the market went silly. Pretty impressive to clock more than 100 that quickly, with the majority right here on one site. Hey Mark, can you post the updated list?

94 cars now on the list. Still "searching" through the QV Registry and FChat. The search function and it's 20 sec time limit between searches is very frustrating, although beneficial.

Anyone know this car or it's owner? He hasn't posted in some time. Wondering if he still has it. Need a chassis number and interior color (black maybe?) First Post of many. New 308GTB owner.

It was the car at the end of the post I was talking about. You have it on your list with no number on it . It says GTB Matt. I Got the post # wrong it was # 103
