    So... he was faster than everyone else because he was better than them? Allllright.

    The "give the wheel a little flick at the apex" theory sounds like the guy who once told me he could get "a power boost" during a traffic light drag race by momentarily stabbing the clutch.

    He had better car control than anyone else, a combination of concentration, twitch muscles and spatial awareness.

    The mid corner flick is a variation of a scandinavian flick, you flick the wheel and the throttle and deliberately make the rear step out, used for tight corners or where you've been boxed in by other cars. Something kart drivers do, not unique to Senna. Takes huge skill at F1 speeds of course.
