Back on the Countach. Maybe this is for the value thread, but I haven't seen it until now. Intriguing. 1983 (Y) LAMBORGHINI COUNTACH 5000S For Sale in Preston - Amari Super Cars GB
Its one of a few RHD cars originally UK-delivered to Bill Loughran, no idea what they want these days (its been for sale forever).
Last I heard they wanted £250k GBP (though that may have changed I haven't looked) tbh its pretty unsellable at that price and instead it appears they seem to use it as a headline crowd puller to gain interest in their other stock.
Yeah it looked to me like it went in and out of their collection? On another page as a sale from some time ago. Methinks the "asking" price continues to climb juuuust ahead of market.
Interestingly I had never heard of the place until I stumbled on to that 25th Anniversary resto thread, then I looked them up.
I agree with all your writing. My assumption is based on a fact, which was feeded by the "secrecy" made around this Periscopa (I wrote about), hidden vin number. I don't think there is an imposter... there is a car, but which one ? But I reach you on the conclusion that some owners believe they hold the Countach holy grail...
i also think that may be they do not want someone know the car has repro wheels...it may be also the reason for not telling the VIN at least an other LP400 is running on alloy repros
Not fair to hide the truth. He should be proud and his surviving car with Lambo fellows, except he want to "abuse" later.
Emilio, I don't quite follow. Are you saying that the car's wheels would be a reason for secrecy? Regarding the LP500: if it survives, as we can see in the pic below, the wheels were undamaged at MIRA. Accordingly, the original wheels ought to be with the car. There is no mistaking them, as they are the unique 20-spoke items as opposed to the 16-spoke items used on production LP400 Periscopas. Best, Image Unavailable, Please Login
