The 512TR is a proven design that is incredibly reliable. It's really hard to get people to believe that.

Sorry to hear this buddy. I just said no to $67,000 for my TR and staying firm at my asking. Yours sounds like a good buy.

I see you are also looking for a yellow 328. Good luck with the sale and the purchase.

    Yes

I am looking for a yellow 328 for my twin brother. He asked me to put my feelers out. He is a porsche guy but wants a 328. He has owned a couple 360's. He missed the opportunity to buy a yellow Dino a few years ago at $150K and believes that a 328 would be a good investment since they are around his price range at $50K. If anyone knows of one let me know and I will give you his number to speak to him directly.

    Thanks!

I do love the rare colors! The Lamborghini Orange Daytona Coupe I sold was one of the cars I sold that I mentioned previously to buy my house. It paid for my down payment. It was indicative of the cars that I own including this yellow 512 TR. I am more than happy to provide the number of the buyer of my Shelby Daytona Coupe to any prospective buyer of my 512 TR so they can chat with them about his buying experience with me.

Am starting to have a little sellers remorse. I know that I will probably regret selling her when the weather breaks and we are in the 60's then 70's then 80's. The good new is if she does't sell quickly I have time to change my mind and nothing is lost. I will only lose $ if I sell her.

Thanks for the encouragement! At this point I am out about $15k at the $90K. No reason to lose money if I don't have to.

If you have the ability, I would say keep the car. 512TR values have been fairly stagnant according to valuation tools (see chart below) and at the very least there is almost always a slight uptick in the market when spring comes.

Hope to see it out and about at the local cars and coffees this spring.

Looks like spring is around the corner. Yeah!!!!

We need a break from this winter wonderland. Getting a lot of activity on the car, especially the last few days. Will let you know what happens.

Thanks to everyone for their support so far.

    Good and Fair Comments.

But, if he ever had a hankering for Maserati CC Coupe, I could live with a yellow TR. Black would be the first choice. White the second. Red the third. Yellow---well not at the top, but doable.

With respect to point #4, I used to own each of this model's series; a 1986 Testarossa, a 1992 512TR and finally a 1995 F512M. Should have never sold the M, but such is hindsight. With due respect, IMHO the 512TR is on a different level compared with the Testarossa. No comparison in terms of speed, handling, pretty much everything. I never tracked my Testarossa, but tracked both the 512TR and M. The M is very special, easier at the limit with stiffer anti-roll bars making weight transfer feel more predictable and revs quicker due to lighter con rods, drive shaft, etc. Having said that, the 512TR was 90% of the M ( again, my opinion) for considerably less $$ today. The price differential between the Testarossa market and the 512TR market is easily justifiable IMHO.

that the OP never addressed this post. I am new to the Ferrari world and in my learning phase before ownership. I love Yellow cars and this TR I appealing to me, but as I signed up this Fiasco was ongoing and the cars in question ( or lack thereof ) was an enlightening series of posts.

Is this in fact that car?

I almost purchased this vehicle from <removed personal name> last year, funny you should call him infamous, he is a rather comical fellow. After we agreed to a purchase price and accepted terms, he attempted to extort an additional 10k in addition to the agreed price when the time came to close the deal. Needless to say, I did not purchase the vehicle from him. Fate would find me with a 94 512TR, less miles and a 22k service from Algar two days after our fallout. I guess good things come to those who wait!

I too would question a 5k service on this car, however do not think it is a reason not to buy. You have a very unique TR and should hold onto it until you receive your price. Good luck and enjoy it while you still have her!
