when Ferrari will build things like this: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2_gcUVF-U1U/Uv3-0kBnnBI/AAAAAAAAB2Q/HBS8CagwMo0/s1600/1655651_748958305129078_1186658390_o.jpg
Ferrari build faster cars - yes Ferrari build more advanced - yes in recent years Ferrari don't build anything what looks as good as Zonda
To be fair, Zonda was a car of the Enzo era, during which the Zonda F (the refreshed model that came about around the same time as Carrera GT and Enzo) held remarkably well against (and even won is some comparison tests). Huayra is a more direct competitor... But this time around, if hybrids are your thing, Ferrari/McLaren/Porsche are beyond Pagani's technological level. You can't be a microscopic manufacturer and compete with the hybrid league (hah!) anymore. Too expensive to compete in that segment for Pagani, so a hybrid Pagani is probably 7-8 years away still (when the Huayra successor arrives).
around two years ago there was rumor that Pagani want to have another car, smaller with V8 AMG, did they give up this plan?
Beuaty is in the eye of the beholder. I never cared for the Zonda's bug eyed face, nor its kitsch interior design. I find both the Enzo and the LaFerrari more stunning design-wise.
The Enzo went against the original Zonda, which it duly annihilated. The F was presented many years later and Ferrari or Porsche never evolved their hypercars, so the F is not a valid comparisson.
Pagani's always felt like Lamborghini on acid. I get the appeal, but they aren't very good looking to me. Outrageous, yes. Beautiful, not so much. Your opinions may vary....
I would like to see V8 Pagani The million dollar Pagani Zonda is an outstanding vehicle, but what if you don’t want to spend over a million dollars for a car but still want a Pagani? You wait. According to company founder Horacio Pagani, the Italian automaker is looking at doing a V8-engined car that could enter development sometime in 2015. The car will be lightweight supercar but most importantly, it will cost half as much as the Zonda. Pagani says the car would be based on the C9 (Huayra), which will launch later this year. If built, Pagani plans on producing around 500 units annually. To put that into perspective, the Zonda sees a limited production of 40 units per year.
put my money down on a scuderia gold wheels front and rear carbon speciale and saying good bye to the orange mclaren. hopefully delivered in time for the cavalcade in june, take delivery in italy. can't wait. thats the 3rd 458 1st 458 rosso corsa with black top 2nd bianco italia with black wheels all carbon 3rd went to mclaren cause i race the 458 challenge and go sick of the 458 4th back to 458 after ferrari magic bit me back...
Francis, very impressive line up. Sometimes trying another brand is a good thing, just to appreciate how good the 458 is. Are you racing at Ferrari Racing Days in Sydney (April 12-13) ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
In a way i agree with you. Ferrari should had built some specific cars like Enzo and LaFerrari in a way Pagani does. Exclusivity and performance is something that doesn't need a 'usual' production. Horacio Pagani is an artist. His car IMHO has more quality and exclusivity than Ferrari. But all has to do with profits and mass productions...so...
