gabor import auto | cars & trucks | Calgary | Kijiji But don't get excited.......supposedly crappy non oem paint and..... From Lpower: ZR auto imported into Canada from Texas and the original color was white. The car has been in Loydminister Alberta for awhile. The owner put in a sunroof, then had it removed and painted blue. The paint job is not in great shape. Also the owner blew the motor and says it was rebuilt by ZR. I talked to Zahir and he said he did not rebuild the motor, he also said he would not pay more then $50,000 for this Countach. Lots of stuff wrong with it.
Yes thank you. You just told me that your mechanic rebuilt the engine and you know the car for long time. Can you provide a better descrtiption of this QV ? How will you quote it mechanically & technically ? What about its history, owners, is it complete, sparewheel, books, all the traditionnal topics about a car for sale ???
I had the pleasure to be invited to "Christmas Tree Party" with the Norwegian Lamborghini Club by Harald Skjöldt, which took place at Norsk Vegmuseum. Here in the middle of the Norwegian Woods, a few miles north of "Lilyhammer" Harald has made the most stunning exhibition of the 50 years of Lamborghini by request of the Norwegian central government for roads and traffic. A fine collection and beautifully presented against pictures of dramatic Norwegian scenery; Haralds 350 GT, his prize winning Sinatra Miura and green #1120012 Countach and all other models until now. The exhibition opened last September and closes June 22 2014. I really enjoyed the show and highly recommend a visit there! no, Joe not related to prototype, VIN 0001, etc.. i say that some owner-seller of a "regular" LP400 may not want to tell VIN because they do not want it is known all around that the car has not original wheels anymore just sayng that the fact the guy looking for wheels was not telling VIN, may not be an indication that the car is a proto, but just that someone may not be so happy to tell his car is not 100% original... considering the price of an LP400 today i see many being restored, i bet one or 2 countach targa "S lookalike" are or will be back to original LP400 shape we all can understand that some cars converted years ago to LP400S wide tyres configuration do not have the original wheels anymore...they may have been sold, lost , etc to find a complete set of Campagnolos is NOT easy today and some cars are back to "periscopio" slim original look with a full set of reproduction alloy wheels, that is the easiest-cheaper-faster way ... i have nothing against this! as long as the car is not for sale or bad presented for sale, without disclosure of the not original items but for sure it is not hard to picture someone that wants to hide the VIN of his LP400 when he is looking for a set of repro wheels we have all seen bad sellers tryng to make cars looks what they are not to make more money on a sale, we can sure picture someone to hide a reproduction item on a car worth a good amount today some collectors will pass on a car that is not VERY VERY original, even in small details and expecially with expensive machines i can understand it fully hope i have been clear enough, sometimes my english is not so good, sorry guys!
Robert, You'll be interested to learn that the red/white-red LP400S S2 1121156 lived in the UK! I remember when it was for sale in North London by a dealer, as I was offered it perhaps 12-15 years ago. Awesome interior! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ah, sounds like a lot of fuss about wheels to me! IMVHO nobody drives a Countach fast enough nowadays to the point where original items are an issue, especially if they Magnaflux check out OK.
Thank you very much for making this a beautiful Sunday to start with The govt actually asked for Lambos to be displayed! Now, that's way cool & something we'll never ever hear from my area.
Wait a second...these photos are taken at a Christmas Tree Party!!! Wow that's one to remember. Stunning exhibit, all beautiful cars! I fell in luv with everyone.
this gorgeous Italian 5000S is for sale http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/other-cars-parts-collectibles-misc/437953-lamborghini-countach-5000s-1982-mint.html ciao
Fantastic pictures, thank you. I love my LP400s but have driven an LP400 and its night and day different, the LP400 reminds me of a true sports car with all the same feel and sounds of tires squealing and oversteer and besides you don't have to worry about speed bumps and steep driveways. The looks of the LP400s to me is the best..
I like the looks of the LP400 best I meant it to be plural with the s. Went through some old pictures last week and found these. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Ok so we all know a periscopa is top of the value tree, followed by a lowbody S So obviously converting a car back means its worth more again. But is a lowbody S converted from a Periscopa (and still in S format) worth more than a regular original lowbody S ?
I think so, because if it started life as an LP400, then it is a real LP400. Furthermore, it is not that expensive to convert back from S to original form. I would prefer to own an LP400 in S guise myself (over a lowbody), knowing I can always make it original.
