F50 with 95 miles only

Why would you assume it needs anything to be road ready. It's far more likely it's been kept in perfect condition and needs nothing.

 

Will probably go up for sale around the £1.1m mark, in a quick guess...

If it's been standing for this many years, heated garage probably and all that...I still reckon the electrics will be ****ed (seriously doubt it's been on a trickly charger since 1995 or whatever year this is).

"Low-miles" is no more indicative of neglect, than "high-miles" is indicative of abuse.

YES ... low-miles cars may indeed be neglected, but so may high-miles cars. On the other hand, low-miles cars may be very well tended, as may high-miles cars.

I've seen more than one expensive, high-miles car that went for a scary long time between basic service intervals (fluid change, etc). I'd take a low-miles car ... that had meticulous attention to basic maintenance ... over that disaster, any day of the week.

Bottom line : the odometer alone doesn't tell you everything (indeed, much at all) about the true condition of the car.

 

Question...how far apart where the fluid changes? I'm aware that the American concept of when to change fluids is greatly different from a European perspective...

Wish I could buy it and drive the ever loving bloody crap out of it and sell it
needing a new engine at 200k miles - which I FULLY plan to do with my 328!

sorry for late reply ... i can recall a period of years between fluid changes, on a certain high-miles Ferrari I visited a few years ago (according to available service records).

 

I think a lot of dealers here are aware of the difference state side to euro regarding prices and have been pushing them up over 150% in past year. Ferrari U.K. dealer has one ( 103475 one owner 10k miles. And will be one of eligible states cars ) up for 900 or 750 + the dreaded.

 

When you cross the 100 mile threshold you lose 25% of your investment?

I personally wouldn't pay much of a premium for 95 miles only but I understand to a collector it's a different kettle of fish but I find it hard to adopt this mind set.

Prices of EU and US cars are starting to come in but the gap is still pretty big but I think we are still a couple of years away from being able to import an F50 into the US for road use

 

So the elephant in the room is the identity of the car - does anyone know the serial number? Or, at the very least, the series number?

 

Not at all! What a negative attitude. Here, you get the chance to buy a delivery-mileage F50. Isn't life great? Awesome!

And in my experience ... "low miles" is not synonymous with "neglected maintenance".

 

No more than high mileage synonymous with meticulous maintenance.
