    I'm selling my car, probably the cleanest looking SL Mercedes in the country :)

    2004 SL55 AMG
    Exterior is a rare Mars Red with charcoal interior
    ~36500 miles
    Clean carfax, no accident, all services are up to date, car runs perfect
    Original paint, no door dings/dents, some minor rock chips on the front bumper

    Probably the prettiest SL55 I have ever seen! Looks fantastic in red, wonder why there weren't made more of them.

    Ronnie, I would suggest you relay to the folks here how unbelievably fast these cars really are. I own an 05 E55 with a Eurocharged pulley and tune. Mike

    Car is pending sale, PPI was done today, the buyer is flying in this Thursday to finalize the deal.

    Unfortunately the deal fell through even after the prospective buyer spent about $1000 total, for PPI and flew to Denver to check out the car (tickets, hotel, parking etc).

    He loves the car, the exterior, the interior, the power but he doesn't really like the tranny. He said it's not "crisp" enough, he's comparing the SL55 auto tranny to a single clutch like BMW smg or newer Aston single-clutch (which shouldn't be compared since SL55 has basically an automatic with torque converter). And he's buying the car for mountain driving.

    Here's his explanation on my for-sale thread on 6speedonline forum (I can give his contact info if you want an unbiased opinion from him on my car):

    Have you contacted Hartmut at Renntech? I would be very surprised if the auto tranny computer couldn't be made to make the shifts "more crisp".

    Renntech/Kleemann has TCU tune but it will be only minimal difference.
