    There has to be a story on the $209k car...been there too long.
    I've heard mixed reviews about the dealership.

    Rosso Fiorano though rare, may be a hard sell.
    But I like to see values increase in 16M's :)

    Not until I decide if I'm going to buy it or not ;)
    It has an astronomical asking price as it only has 400 miles on it. I really wanted the carbon under door and the 5 spoke wheels; Basically, I want Russell's car in LHD, but with the Tricolor stripe.

    The wheels and rockers can be added! ;)
    There were only 5 16M's produced in Nuovo Rosso F1.

    Several 5 spoke wheel sets on ebay for $8500 right now. I think the rockers are another $8000. When you add this to the price of this car your head explodes.

    And then when you pay such a premium due to the low miles but actually drive the car regularly, within a few years you have caught up to the rest of the typical mileage cars and any extra you paid has just evaporated.

    This car probably belongs with someone with a larger Ferrari collection than mine. (which means >1) Now where are the other 3 Rosso Formula 1 color cars???

    There was a "Nuovo Rosso F1 2009 " 16M that was on the market back in July 2012 with
    Ft Lauderdale Collection. That car got bought by Ferrari of New England and then sold. I was looking at that car seriously before FONE bought it and jacked up the price. Was a heavily optioned car- Special paint, Leather /alcantera, spare tire, 5 spoke wheels, underside of front trunk lid autographed by the formula 1 team, special 16m model, and alcantera book, MSRP 394K.

    There was a 16M in Florida which the dealer said was rosso fucco, but I don't think it was. more than likely it was Nuovo Rosso F1 2007. Would not go below 265k, service record was questionable as the private dealer story did not match the actual service history from Ferrari. Reportedly the MSRP 370K but did not have access to the window sticker. Off the market now.

    Both cars had around 1900 miles when I looked at them. Should have gone for the first one before FONE bought it.

    Seems like if you want an unusual color you better jump quick! When they are gone they are gone!

    Lovely car. One of the pictures shows a few items I've not seen before. The 16M sales brochure is square, this one looks different (top right of picture)? Anyone seen this before? Also, not seen the poster (top of picture) and what is the black wallet (middle left)?
    Car has the rare full luggage, I assume with the Tricolore livery to match stripe, there was also a Scud stripe version as well. Pic of Tricolore set.

    Yup, I've been itching to get the 5 spoke wheels. But just haven't pulled the trigger to plunk down 8500. Fortunately I do have the CF rocker panels.

    I drive my 16M and have over 14k miles on it. I just don't understand how these 09 cars have under 2k miles. They must sit around a lot.

    That is getting all the money at 290K. The car I looked at in Florida was optioned very much the same except for the radio. You are definitely paying the premium for the low miles, if you drive it the premium is gone. I guess looking at the pics it looks like the owner decided to keep the special 16M brass model.
    I bet 275 would make the deal. If you estimate the MSRP 350k+, thats a pretty good depreciation of essentially a new car. But almost 5 years old!!!

    if you add on carbon rockers or 5 spoke wheels, do you keep the original parts for sale with the car or do you just sell them now? My experience from the classic car market, anything that was not original to the car is considered a negative even though it could have been an OEM option.

    I assume the 458 is a better DD and faster on the straights.
    Is the 16m a better handling car when your up in the hills?
    Is the DCT that much faster and user friendly than the older single clutch of the 430?

    Some educational videos:
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZN1f0iGHOE]Ferrari 458 Spider vs 430 Scuderia GTBOARD.com Event May 2013 - YouTube[/ame]

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETEpDcxJ0YM]Ferrari 430 Scuderia vs Ferrari 458 Italia - YouTube[/ame]

    DCT is faster but not any more user-friendly than an SCT; it's just the visceral experience that is significantly different. One can say the SCT amplifies the emotion/excitement of driving a 16M/Scuderia and suits the race-car characteristics very well and the seamlessness of the DCT shifts in the 458 add to its comfortable/compliant ride.

    The SCT shifts in 60ms, compare that to the modern day F1 car that does it in 40-50ms. In short, it's fast enough.

    Handling? I would say both handle amazingly enough for most avg lamens. But if the question is which one can make me look like I actually know what I'm doing and pull me back before I spin off the road, then the 458 has smarter nannies and therefore I would say more confidence inspiring. If one day you muster enough courage to try both cars with nanny controls off, you will learn to appreciate the sharpness and lightness of the 16M/Scuderia and in the 458, how bad of a driver you really are without help.

    Last but not least, "Search" is your friend. This topic has been covered exhaustingly.

    Great education :)

    I wonder in the vids above, at what point the 458 started to break away....150mph?

    Not sure, but it has to be a really high speed. The 458 doesn't pull away until around 15 seconds in. By that point the must be haulin' a$$.
