Hi guys, I was considering (with extremely low odds of convincing my family) of getting me one of the 2 vehicles and clearly the 599 is way better but I'm afraid of its service, so I was just wondering what can $8,000 a year cover for reckless driving of an 2009+ F430 scudaria vs a 2009+ 599GTB at a range of 20,000km/ 12,000 miles annually aka plz compare the 2 vehicles service costs?

I'm planning to have fun and I'm already a professional 100mph driver in a 60mph zone and overtaking cars with excessive lane changing on a daily basis is kind of like the way I've been driving since I got my permit 5 years ago and you'd be surprised at how good I've gotten at it and how close I nearly got to scary accidents but that was then, I'm a lot more careful know...... kind of LOL. Also, I hate all those people who are BOTH THOSE TWO THINGS: 1- arrogant & 2- gay drivers who drive their F430s like it's an s-class. I mean wtf it's a sports car!!! However, if you're a worried enthusiast then ok but arrogant and s-class like!!!! My first car was and still is an AMG model merc that costs that much a year on average ($8,000) service costs off warranty excluding insurance etc which I don't know whether it's bad luck or off warranty problem... so anyways however, I'm very sensitive on the interior and if you see my current car, you'd be amazed as it looks like new. However, it cost me a lot to service unfortunately, because ever sinse the non expandable 3 year warranty of the vehicle expired here in the middle east, I've been literally screwed from the service, so what do you think and does ferrari warranty, which can be expanded for up to 9 years here, cover gas pedal abuse aka revving abuse and control arm or whatever damage occurs from overtaking.

P.S. NOT drifting & NO burnouts, but just abusing the gas pedal to produce their beautiful noises and my extreme pessimism of breaking is only a worse case scenario and "abuse" is a relative term for I consider my self a softy but just in case, I'm saying "abuse" and to me the speed limit is imposed for average cars so why comply? as a good rule of thumb is: [speed in a sports car = max speed * 1.4] and hopefully in a ferrari I'd multiply that by 1.6 as a good rule of thumb.

BTW there is only a 5% chance of me getting a 599 and an F430 is outdated so I'm really "just dreaming" and a newer G63 is more realistic

You definitely need something more modern than a F430. It's way too old and probably not fast enough for a driver like you anyways.

You should definitely not get a Ferrari. You are going to need something more your speed. A corvette or Viper will better handle your requirements.

I said "outdated" NOT "old\ overdue". We all know a scud is way better than a G63 in every aspect for "the people". However, I'm still considering it, but I'd rather have a cheaper less eye catching modern car (G63) that's not too cliche like an F430. You see, I love the rarity of the 599 and the G63, etc...

Point being: I'll only prefer the latest cliche, which is the 458, & my opinion is NOT RIGHT it's just an opinion. Another guy might say well I hate the 599 cause it's ugly, & another guy may say: I want to be "regonized" by every Joe on the street via the F430. Others love the sound on an F430, etc... Aka, getting an F430 IN MY AREA NOT YOURS, is a desperation to shine and if I'm desperate, I'd rather show people a 458 if I think that way (which my family wouldn't consider buying anyways for me), but I DON'T CARE ABOUT PEOPLE AT ALL

Actually, if no exotic, I'll just stick with sth more my speed like a G63. A viper GTS, vette C7, are all great cars that CAN'T BE MAXED anyways like a 3.5 ton SUV with a big engine, so no difference in that area really:)

Actually, I read somewhere that 430's are "desperate". You should listen to that guy.

I agree, 430 is for the gays. Go for an Aventador. Just my humble opinion.

P.S. You seem like a cool guy, if I'm every in Saudi Arabia, would you like to grab some chocolate milk together?

With those driving desires, I'd strongly consider an immersive F1 simulator with Oculus Rift VR glasses and then drive until you pass out without being jailed, having repair costs, wiping out and killing yourself, or otherwise destroying the environment...total cost for a system that will let you drive the great tracks and roads of the world (with options for F1, GT, NASCAR, F458, Lambo, etc.) shouldn't be much more pricy for the initial purchase than either of those cars, and a lot less expensive (and dangerous) to own.

I did a demo with one recently; they have a true 3D experience and everything but the fuel bill, nights in jail and trips to the ER...

I said I'd speed and overtake NOT drift and burnout!!! LOL

Plus, let's suppose the top speed is a merely 120km/ 70mph, then according to the formula my new speed limit should be with the ferrari: [120 * 1.6 = 192 km/h], which is only done if the roads are empty and only for seconds! Plus, let's suppose the speed limit is 70km/ 43.4mph then according to the formula my new speed limit should be with the ferrari: [70 * 1.6 = a mere 112 km\h\ 70mph on a CCM car. Plus, I do pay traffic tickets sometimes and in Germany the autobahn is open up to limitless speeds so 186mph is legal there? so I'm sane thank God! LOL "environment". Believe me one of those old cars producing black smug for a day is like a 599 for a year :D

Actually, I said 2 conditions NOT that the beautiful F430 in itself is gay, but via driver acting gay in terms of caring for it like it's a mona liza or sth with arrogance (aka indicating nonenthusiasm and pure materialism) aka read post #1 for the 2 conditions: (arrogant and afraid for your precious F430 that you go 2mph on every bump and driving it like an s-class)

I mean if I bought the scud, I wouldn't be gay would I? See my point!!!

This pretty much sums up my feelings...
You can enjoy your future Ferrari without driving like an idiot ;). I do admit that I am biased so please do not take my opinion as a personal attack, it is your life and you can do with it what you will.

Of your two choices both are great in my opinion so I agree that is a difficult decision, buy both!! :)

It means we are having fun with you at your expense in a friendly way.

Good luck with whatever decisions you make.

I totally agree with you, the aventador is the best but way out of budget, as I haven't even opened the proposal to my parents for an exotic yet alone an aventador?!! I'd rather get a lower sticker price and pay the rest up in service of an '10 599, as that way they won't feel like they spent a lot. If new, then G63. However, if it was my money, I know a new 458 is the ideal choice with free unlimited miles warranty and the piece of mind, but they won't understand. Plus, the newer 458, unlike the 599, doesn't have the F1 clutch, which costs a lot to repair every time it runs out.

Thanks but I'm NOT gonna drive it "like an idiot" & speeding isn't the end of the world and Germany (a far supreme nation in laws to the US) has the autobahn, but I don't blame you for that, for just because you have an F430 and felt exposed and offended for your delirium of thinking you're purchasing an s-class doesn't mean true ferrari fans, NOT POSERS, shouldn't drive it like it was designed. Plus, if your a true fan you'd know that the formula: [speed on a ferrari = speed limit * 1.6] is the ideal and safest formula to be applied on a CCM vehicle. Also, don't worry, there's still a chance (if I even get the car) that I'll drive it like the stereotypical F430 gay style of drivng (ex. like yours) and drive it like an s-class without their/ your arrogance but that is only if service costs are very high, which non of you seem to have addressed in this thread.

BTW, I'm kidding by comedy so no offense lol:D

P.S. I would be an idiot if I did that in the states but in Germany et al. countries, it's less remorseful to consider. Plus, you just implied all German's are idiots with their autobahn!!!

It's not exactly comedy, it's more of a comedic sarcastic way of showing you that you haven't understood my thread by implying I'm "overboard" with the way I drive and implying that Germany's autobahn system is causing ERs and deaths so I guess either the Germans are right or you. Hmmm that's a tough one ;)

Please point out specifically where I implied/said "Germany's autobahn system is causing ERs and deaths" and I'll show where the 'Golden Egg' is hidden.

PS, The Civic idea should be considered.

So now Archimedes is wrong too and you're right? Wow what an ego! But then again, that F430 is seriously messing with your head as "desperate" times call for "desperate" measures.

Once again you are mistaken as I never said I owned a F430.
