Weld it up! No need to pay stupid money for a new one! $20 to weld it...unless you tell the welder it's off of a Ferrari ;-)
If you go the replacement route, follow TAZ' advice (always a good course). I just put the Capristo on my 2007
It broke because there is no play in the mount. So either it breaks again, or something in the exhaust breaks if it is welded or OEM mounts are used. The mount breaking is trying to tell you something, and the header warranty runs out after 8 years.
My left exhaust catalyst bracket broke recently (the right broke a few years back). The bracket cost $53.53 at my local authorized dealer. I believe labor was an additional $476.00.
My brackets were replaced 5 times under warranty before i finally just bought the capristo brackets. John.
It seems that Capristo is the way to go ... Has anyone had any problem (w/ Header's or other) with their Capristo install? Thanks p.s. I had the bracket welded (zero cost!) and it's installed right now. The exhaust is rattle free once again, but I believe this won't last (especially when I take it out on a run).
My only issue with the Capristo brackets is buzzing/vibration rattle around 3,000 rpms (under partial load). I feel like this is something that should be fixable but I'm not sure how tight/loose to tighten the mounting bolts on the springs. This really shouldn't be much of an issue, Capristo brackets are the way to go, I've seen several say this is the only must-do mod.

I just checked my invoice and you are correct, the break down is as follows: Replace exhaust bracket: $240.00 LH support bracket: $196.64 Catalyst hold down clamp: $53.53 Nut: $3.14 My bad for submitting a reply when taking too much cold medicine....
I recently purchased a 2006 430 coupe with stock exhaust. The Ferrari dealer just replaced the headers before I took delivery so they are new. I'd like to preserve them! Especially since the warranty will expire in less than a year, or maybe two years since its a new part. I'm thinking about ordering and installing the Capristo exhaust brackets. Seems like this is pretty much universally recommended. Before spending ~$1000 installing these brackets it seems worth a bit of thought on if I should make any other exhaust changes since some potential changes would eliminate the brackets, causing that work and money to have been wasted. I definitely want to keep the current new headers, stock cats, and I want the automatically actuated bypass valves as I really enjoy pushing the accelerator and hearing the sound change when the valves open. That's great fun. I don't love the stock exhaust tips as they are brownish matte and I'd prefer a chrome look. I've read they could be polished with some work. And if I keep the stock silencer I think I will have the seems welded while installing the Capristo brackets to avoid vibration and leakage of insulation debris. I'm unsure if I have any leaks at this time but seems like a good preventative measure in any case. There are a few resonances or vibrations as I rev from 1k idle to 5k+ that would be great to eliminate. It would be great if the car had a perfect, smooth, increase in RPM with no distracting sounds. Also there is some drone around 3500 RPM that I notice sometimes on longer drives, and other times not at all. Not looking to make the car become obnoxiously loud, but improvements in sound would be great, even though its hard to say exactly what is better sound without getting to do a side-by-side compare which I'm unlikely to get to do. Anyway, advice from the experts appreciated. Given these parameters, am I better off just installing the Capristo brackets and welding up my silencer joints? Maybe have the exhaust system leak tested (smoke?) to make sure none of the vibrations are due to cracks or other exhaust leaks? Or should I look at the Capristo twintone, fabspeed, Tubi, or other replacement exhaust? I previously found a great thread with lots of detail on the various Capristo versions and the differences but so far I can't find it again. I think it included info from Capristo about each variant. Are you sure that the exhaust is vibrating? I installed the Capristo brackets and in the process fount that the catalytic converter heat shields were loose and rattling. Each heat shield is secured to two mounting brackets with four rivets. In my car, the rivets were quite loose. I tapped the shields with my fingers and found that they hit the chassis, making a rattling sound. I took out the heat shields and "tightened" the rivets. Now I don't hear the rattling any more. When I have more time, I will drill out the rivets and replace them with nuts/bolts/washers. Sorry I digressed. I have no problem with the Capristo brackets so far - 2,000 miles since installation on 06 430 coupe.

I know this is an old post, but I just had the Capristo mounts installed on my 07 430 and after around 500 miles, I get buzzing also around the 2500 - 3k rpm mark. It seems to be getting worse with time. Looking at the set up, I am thinking of using a high temp rubber between the metal springs / washers / mount, and see if this helps... but before I do that new nuts will be needed, as the Capristo ones are single use. I will be changing out my headers and throwing in an X pipe this spring, so likely I will play with the mounts then... I am intent on making the Capristo mounts work, as the stock set up has proven faulty. Though my headers were replaced with MK2 on warranty originally, center mount was actually found cracked ( the one connecting to gearbox ) when it was removed to install the Capristo mounts... definitely don't want to go back. I would be curious of any fixed that have been tried to get rid of the buzzing on the mounts ? ( and yes, I have the large washers correctly between the mounts and rear frame) Voy
I was having the same annoying buzzing noise. My right bracket was broken. 5 brackets have broken in 20000 miles. My car is at the shop (4 weeks now) and these are being replaced with Capristo units. I pray that stops the noise.
Keep in mind, and I will certainly get the technical term wrong, but there is something with the variable cam shaft (I think this is the issue) that can cause a rattling sound between 3000 and 3500 rpm. I am told it is a normal feature of the engine IF you only hear the noise when the engine is under light load with rpm increasing. It should then not be present with hard acceleration or when you lift off the throttle, or when revs are dropping. If you hear it as revs go up and down regardless of load, then it is something else. Hopefully someone with better knowledge of the internal workings of the engine can clean this up.
