    I would eventually like to find someone who sells bases like that here in the US. I did a quick search and found the US CMC distributor and looking over their website I was simply amazed, I will definitely be a customer of theirs. Oh can you post both interior and engine bay pics, please? Has CMC ever produced any turbo era F1 models?

    These are the cases Gregg, 6 of them for under 50euros from this company;

    https://ck-modelcars.de/en/eur/p/1482/6er-box-exclusiv-cars-show-cases-for-modelcars-1-18/6erexlcar/

    Worldwide delivery available, I've bought many models from them and there one of the very best.

    No CMC has'nt done any 80's F1.
    Exoto do a very nice Reanault RE20 though;

    I would prefer a US distributor simply because shipping would almost exceed the cost of the display. Heck I could also make my own if I had the inclination.

    I already have a 1/12 RE20 I purchased around '85-'86 and yes sadly it is still un-built and in its original box, always kept indoors though. I have been quoted $500 to have it built professionally but I know I can find a local pro-builder and save a few dollars. Taking baby step's I guess one could say.

    $25 to mail to USA isn't too bad I thought.

    No not bad at all I would just prefer something more local ie this side of the pond.

    So beautiful! Amazing. Congrats. The best version in 1/18 this moment.

    Excellent choice.

    Since we are talking about display cases i would like an opinion. I still have my collection boxed, and i´m going to finally build a cabinet where to put everything..for the 1/43, i will build big display cases made of glass...but for the 1/18 i´m not sure if i should do an enclosured cabinet or perhaps buy 1/18 display cases like yours and simply put them on shelves...any opinions would be welcome..thanks in advance.

    It's down to personal preference really, I think 1/43 look best displayed together in a case like the one shown below.
    I like to have 1/18 in individual display cases as I think it does them more justice, I wouldn't want to squeeze them all together in a cabinet as if they were £15 Burago's.

    Thanks for the pics.... actualy this is a bit what i was thinking to do....i also have teh f.1 collection in 1/43, and that none i want to put together but i also feel that individual display cases give more "nobility" to the 1/18 model...of course it´s harder to clean bu on the other hand, the models will be better protected from dust humidity or anything else....again thanks, loved both displays...

    I expected nothing less, thanks!

    One more question is the steering wheel real wood? I suspect it is do to the attention to detail CMC have in their models, it is almost sacrilege to refer to them as mere models isn't it?

    I also have this model and strongly recomend it....if you look at the price BBr and Mr are charging for sealed models, the cmcs are a steal!!! But i believe one of the ebst buys you can make it´s the bbr 375mm, marvelous model and easy to get for a very good price.

    Yes the BBR and Mr models are gorgeous but it's great to be able to open the bonnet etc and see the amazing details inside.

    Marvelous hans, congrats, i especialy like the 312ps, gorgeous models, i'm still chasing one, probably from art model, best or bang, they are pretty decent models for the price range....
    Just a couple of questions, whats the spacing between shelves? 10cm, more, less?
    can you put a picture of the whole cabinet please?
