It's great to hear everything is fine. Thankyou for confirming we had the two cars forsale correct.

    [QUOTE=
I have a wife and she always tells me "sell it sell it sell it sell it sell it sell it sell it ": so i put the car for sale and she is very happy now. But i asked big money so it will be not easy to sell it and i will keep the car for some time of forever, who knows!

This sheds light onto why the Countach market is all over the place. There are many past posts from this and the value thread, I believe, that mention how the prices aren't appreciating consistently. Yes, nothing we don't already know, condition means everything, and NO I'm not putting blame toward you. As you pointed out its always the wife's fault.:):):):)

Best of luck with your decision to sell, I hope it works out for you.

Beautiful photos. The biggest problem I have with DD & SD’s is the inability to the horns. Darn those air cleaners.

Larry those air cleaners are a pain in the butt to change. I have a friend doing a full resto on an 84'. He's already deleted the air cleaners and went with much larger horns with some really cool screen covers. I'll make sure to snap some pictures tomorrow or next Saturday when I'm over there playing wanna-be mechanic.

@ Joe that top picture looks like a model car engine. So detailed. =)

One problem with doing that is that he is going to be sucking hot air into the carburetors rather than the ambient air from outside. I guess it won't amount to anything major as the only problem it will create other than not having any vacuum to draw vapors from the crankcase, is a slight loss in horsepower which is a mute issue anyway. Me myself I am a a bit of a purist and would insist on having the air filter boxes in place. If the car did not have them I would try to track them down before they became even more expensive and harder to find.

It's that white 84' car from FL that had the Koenig appointments.

I go by every so often like I did today to see it's progress as it's an 84' like mine.

As soon as the motor goes in I'll take some pictures and post them here to see what you guys think.

All, Long time follower of this thread and the Dino thread. Mainly because my father owned these cars when i was growing up and I loved them. Two years ago I found a Dino and restored it with Jon G. OMGJON. The resto was documented on Ferrari Chat under the "Barn Find" thread. It was a great experience. I love the car and enjoyed working with Jon. Last year I set out to find a Countach and with the encouragement and advice of Joe Sackey I decided to move forward. I bought a pristine 85 5000s side draft car. I can not believe that I now own these cars. I am pretty psyched.

Glad to finally chime in on this thread. I am looking forward to driving the Countach, but it needs new tires to drive it safely. I remember seeing something posted to this site regarding the best place to find tires but i don't see that post any longer. Can one of you help me? Thanks
