Does anyone have a source for this? I would like to replace the piece on each side of the very front of the fenders.

Rather than suggest places how about listing where you've looked? It will save time.

I checked MIE's web site no luck. I did find some on E-Bay two years ago but I didn't buy it. The existing moldings are in good condition but they were cut short in order to install different / larger lenses. We did this in 1977 when we had the car federalized. Now I noticed MIE sells the euro side lights and I was thinking wouldn't it be great if I could put it back to the factory euro look.

I'm thinking if someone has used ones from the door that would work as they could be cut to fit. Just a thought.

MIE doesn't list them on the web site. I'll give them a call on Monday.

MIE has only a small a part of their inventory on line, always a good idea to call.
Bob I did take the Bora out today for a quick run to the store. I had not driven it in two months because I just had both knees replaced. Had to build up my strength to work that clutch pedal. Always a joy to drive the Bora, the rains stopped today and the sun came out so I gave it a shot.

I have about 8 feet of the side trim left. Please note the profile is not an exact match so you may need to replace all the trim to get it to match. If you send me your address I will send a small sample so you can see the profile.

In theory, you could always just keep your foot in place and use the peddle switch to move the clutch in and out. :)

Yeah they make a lot pieces for the Italian cars. Pricey and over here I believe their distributor is Mr. Fiat.

The foot pedal pads for my Espada are $200 for the set!

    Somebody needs some competition.

You r so right, Bob. Mr. Fiat is a distributor for a number of companies, even at wholesale prices they r expensive. The Merak Group has 16x8 BBS wheels, rear Euro bumpers, and soon the correct front grill trident for the Bora.

    It's not much, but it's a start. :)

    Ciao,
    George

Keep up the good work, re all foregoing, and yet to come. Lately, for 73Bora, frustrated to find tires selection that would be enhanced if the Campagnolo 15" wheels were instead at 16" or other larger. Even so, further frustrated by not being able to go above 225x70 tires at rear, in the 15"... owing to inner fender near rubbing as is.

As well, when you address front Euro-style grille for US/other models desiring early/classic look instead, please consider fully re-engineering the entire set-up, as it may be simplified and well cleaned-up in process, also eliminating some weight. Should be applicable as to both Merak & Bora.

    Steady on.

I typically ran 245s in the rear and 235s in the front. At present the car has 255s, competition, on the rear. No rubbing if you use 1/4" spacers in the rear. Rubbing in the front only happens at a hard full lock when it rubs the aluminum swat bar link.

But as you note, they don't make tires such as that any longer ... :(

But 245s in any series should fit fine if you got different wheels.
