"Turbo lag <1 sec." I hope that in turbo terms, that's a good number and not indicative of the way the throttle feels. In a world where transmission shifting is measured in milliseconds, anything approaching 1 sec. seems like an eternity. That's almost a third of the time it takes to get to 100 kph.

Love Ferrari even more, now!! Look at the background image at their booth! That's Ferris Bueller and Cameron staring down at the new California T! "The 2015 Ferrari California T - It is my father's love, it is his passion... IT IS HIS FAULT HE DIDN'T LOCK THE GARAGE!" HA! ;-)

Absolutely. This car was not made for the two tone trend.

Yes, that and a few other scenes from FBDO are part of their historical montage film that often runs on repeat on select screens at their stand. :)

Single color looks so much nicer on this car.

One of the most significant reasons has to do with air flow over the body at high speeds. It was explained to me by a tech with Ferrari that keeping the tire/wheel inside the wheel well helps the aerodynamics at speed. Too much turbulence outside fender well causes problems with air flow designed to maximize the downforce as well as reduce wind resistance.

Pardon if this is a re-post, but did anyone notice that in the California T Unveiling video...at the beginning...when they are showing the new infotainment system, the name shown in the display is John(ny) Appleseed? Thought that was funny. And, yes, I get the Apple connection.

For those of you in Geneva, I have to ask: Is this thing as beautiful as it looks in these new photos and videos? I don't expect everyone shares my opinion on this, but Holy Cow the California T looks gorgeous to me! Once, again, I don't think the factory photos look anywhere near as good as the ones coming from the show, and the videos of the car driving really paint the picture of an extraordinarily sexy car! Please tell me I'm not going to be disappointed when I see it in real life!! ;-)

Just to be controversial and having seen the New T at Modena. Firstly I love the look of the "old" model.
The new model is beautiful too. The refreshed interior is better looking and the thicker steering wheel is more satisfying to grip. The bumpy ride button is a step forward, as are the indicators on the wheel (a la 458).
It looks sleeker and lower in the flesh. I loved the two tone body/ roof. I don't like the old car in white, but the new one in white with black roof lowered the visual centre of gravity. The rear end in side profile is an improvement.
I don't like the rear diffusers, they look cheap in reality. The exhaust arrangement is an improvement - it was the tiniest gripe I have with my Cali.
Not sure about turbo, wait and see.
I haven't ordered the new one, despite being offered an early build slot, love the old one, don't feel the need to replace it with an unreviewed TT engine......

The torque max in the lower gears is substantially below the peak torque they are claiming (which is only realized in seventh gear). Hmmmm....I wonder how that will feel...anyone know what the torque max in gear 1 and 2 and 3 are?

Nice to see a sense of humor coming from the company. They need to do more things like this. Since Ferrari is so prevalent in pop culture it wouldn't be hard.

Nothing that a subtle set of spacers can't fix.

Kind of liking the wheel style on this one in non-diamond finish...anyone know whether these are just the normal painted color, or a more polished looking finish?

I'n the past I've preferred the diamond finish, but not crazy about how the new style only covers the spokes and doesn't extend around the edge of the rim (as shown on the white car).

I agree. I never considered a Cali before but I may trade my 612 for this!

Interesting trip to Geneva. Firstly on iOS. Amazingly the launch vehicle, the Cali T, did not have the iOS system fitted, nor was there an operational unit to try. Contrary to what I was told it was fitted to the FF as attached and will be fitted to the Cali as they share the same architecture but not the 458 or F12 until the revamp. The unit fitted to the FF naturally did not work so make of that what you will. What other company could get away with launching a new system with it not on the new launch car and bust on the car it was fitted to?
