Good to see 1120154 enjoying sunny Al Wasl, Dubai with its enthusiast owner. One of 5 LP400 we have exported from the USA, making the cars even rarer here.

    Great info Raymond.
Did you consider using the much cheaper NAPA cap that others here have indicated will fit?

I saw that car at a friend's shop when it got here a few years ago. Owner has a rough running yellow Miura as well.

There are more CTs here than you would think. I know of seven in the area, not all running. A local dealer has a pair of DD Anniversaries on the floor, no idea the prices, but it am not an Anniversary guy. I am sure more are out there, but hidden away.

I noticed no one commented on this post (including Raymond)
It was my understanding that no one is making Raymond do the retrofit and its basically that he doesn't want to drive round with the headlights raised all the time (as sidelights aren't acceptable to the swiss govt for some very strange reason)

Tire rack is telling me to order the 225/50/15s for the front. What am I missing?

Rob, typically 225s are used for the fronts. 205s were original equipment though. Either way.

Does anyone have an update on the LP400 being restored here in Victoria, Australia? I seem to recall someone suggesting it was going to be restored and painted something like the gold one that crashed in Europe back in the early 70's.

    Hi all,

I'm an auto-writer up in Canada and am putting together an article on Walter Wolf's Lamborghinis, specifically his 3 Countachs. He lives not that far from me, so I'll actually be interviewing him in the next few days.

The trick will be getting together some pictures of these beauts - there's plenty of shots in this thread, but does anyone know who owns the rights to most of them? Basically, if someone who has a pic or two wanted to shoot me a PM, that'd be great - I'd like to put the cars in context, and make sure to credit the photographer.

Will you be posting your interview here perhaps?
It would be great for us here to read it.

As a writer, you have come to the best place to do your research. there are more pics of Walter Wolf's Countachs in this thread than anywhere else in the world! have fun trawling thru, and please post the piece when complete.

The problem is, I can very easily spend multiple hours "researching" here, rather than getting any actual work done. :)

Will certainly put up the piece when it's together!

A freind of mine in Japan is actually writing a book on one of the WW CT cars (together with the current owner) , I am helping him organize some meetings with ex workers here in Italy this summer.

    The red WW CT ?
I heard the original engine is not in the car anymore, now it has a standard LP400 engine.

All of them have a 4l engine, the 5l went back to the factory, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the proto for the 4,7l LP5000s engine...

Has it ever been determined what SN Wolf's first Countach, the White, Roof-winged LP400, carried?

    0006?

According to WW, the red car didn't have a 5.0L. They were 4, then 4.8, then 5.0 in the dk blue car.
