What did you pay for your used Scud? Please list year, purchase price, miles at purchase, and also whether from dealer or private seller. Also, what do you think its worth today? I'm just trying to build a consensus. Trolls not invited to participate!

I'll play along, but not sure how this helps with your FS goals...might want to add date of purchase too for context.

    Year: 2009 Rosso Corsa
    Mileage: 890miles
    Price: $209k, dealer
    DOP: Feb 2011

Just curious as to what the market was and what it may be. Thanks for contributing.

Market is not really so soft. It's way softer for the 458 Italia.

Looks like a few Scuds out there. But many are priced at or above what people wanna pay for them. I'm interested in what OWNERS have to say about their purchase price and how they valuate their car.

now that 430 prices are bottomed, people will shop for scud as they are affordable as well.

price also is largely dependent on state of economy. anything purchased in 2009 and early 2010 will have been appreciated in value. mid 2010 to 2012 will have gone down. Early 2013 was a good time (up til about March 2013).

scud was as low as $150-160k earlier this year (Feb, March 2013). currently, you are looking at around $180k.

Although mine has 12k miles, I think my price reflected it but all in all it's in amazing condition and was taken care of. So I figure since my seller needed to sell it quickly, I faired ok

Anyone here have an FDE car? My feeling is that Scuds have or will bottom out around the $160K mark for the older, higher mileage cars. With CS prices climbing to $150K+, I'd be surprised if the Scuds would dip below that.

Only soft on odd / not so popular color combinations. Otherwise been steady for at least last 2 years.

    Miles??

150-160? lol, highly doubtful unless they were FDE or storied specimens.

For the last 2 years 09s (other than black and/or weird combinations e.g. black stripes w red outlines) have been hovering in the 180-190s consistently which means dealers are buying them for at least 170 and above. I see some on eBay as of this post hovering in the 170s, almost all black ones and none of which are resale red.

The ones around 150-160 aren't storied cars. However, they were around 12-15k mi. Those were lowest prices I have seen. Long gone I am afraid

I think the pricing calculator that we have used for 3+ years on here is still +/- right for "selling price". (which says prices have been pretty darn steady)

IIRC, here is how it went (I used a slightly different one than the original designed by F430GT):

"baseline car" = 2009, Red, 0 miles, stripe, US Carbon Package = $200,000

    Adjustments to baseline:

Mileage = Deduct $2 per mile up to 10,000 miles, $1 per mile above that
Color = Silverstone and white add $10,000 ; Non Red (or Silverstone or White) subtract $10,000
    No Stripe = deduct $5000
    2008 Model Year = deduct $10,000
No US Carbon package = deduct $10,000

So...that's it. I tracked perhaps ~12 sales that were right around the suggested price from this model (again, "selling price" not asking price) within 2-3% ($0 to $5000 off).

    A few examples to illustrate:

    Example #1 = red, 2009, stripe, 4000 miles = $192,000

    Example #2 = Yellow, 2008, stripe, no USCP, 10,000 miles = $150,000

    And so on...

Would be interesting for folks to apply the formula to their purchase and see how it compared to their price. Doesn't mean their won't be outliers, but I bet this is pretty close...

you should be a car dealer because you are the only person I know who could have bought in late 2008 for under sticker....

Will worry about resale in a year or two when it has 20k miles.
