very much doubt it. the new cali will take center stage, and then there will be tricked out f12, ff, and a 458 spider.
I respect your opinion, but by the same logic McLaren will not display the P1 there because they want the 650S to take center stage there. However P1 has been spotted at Geneva (the blue factory car, not the fab design thingy) different thinking from different manufacturers perhaps? Really crossing my fingers that they bring LaF, I have not seen one in the flesh yet.
The Blue car in Geneva was delivered to a customer in Gibraltar a couple of months ago - it is not a factory car. There was also a Graphite Grey P1 spotted in Geneva this morning with the Blue one and that is also a customer's car that was delivered in Geneva about two months back as well. McLaren will have a P1 in their display stand at Geneva, but it won't be either of these cars. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
Can't tell you how it got to Geneva but it was delivered in Gibraltar in mid-December and presently wears 'GBZ' registration plates. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
i was at the dealer a couple weeks ago and a laf was there. may still be there if you want to go check it out.
The first picture could be on the Quai des Bergues in Geneva. This place is also worth a long trip, nice to be there!
Apologies, I stand corrected. I assumed it was a factory car because McLaren do a certain amount of their testing in the south of Spain etc. (as you probably are know much more than me about lol) so they had brought in something from that department in a fancy color.
Overnight McLaren added a silver McLaren P1 to their Geneva Motor Show display - it is a full production car, chassis 026. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks! Beautiful spec, I really like the P1 in the "plain" colors such as black and silver, although the black/purple is absolutely stunning. I know it's been thoroughly discussed in other threads, but I cannot get over how impressed I am with the P1, the car looks drop dead gorgeous and is such a beast in every way. McLaren have really lived up to their heritage with that car, a very worthy competitor, if not better, than LaF.
Yes - I have seen the Amethyst Black in person and it's a very special paint color - like no other really. I hope to see a few P1s get ordered and delivered in that hue. Here's one of my shots of PP3, the one Clarkson drove, when it was here in Beverly Hills for a day of viewing. >8^) ER Image Unavailable, Please Login
The car really needs a low stance to be even remotely good looking. Passenger dome seems way to high to fit the proportions of the rest of the car. To me it really does look like one of those elaborate running shoes. Especially when painted in bright colors.
I love how we went from....Will LaFerrari be present at the Geneva show to discussing the P1 and lots of pics about it ;-) As for LaFerrari, Montezemolo told the press in Geneva that he "regrets" offering only 499 cars as they had to decline at least another 200 customers. Are we going to see another Enzo non-limited number repeat?
Sorry for the slight diversion... Part of this is a trick of the eye due to the dip in the beltline, part of it is the roof scoop, and part of it was necessity to allow taller drivers inside wearing helmets as the expectation is these will actually be driven. Oops - it happened again. I hope they build a Maserati version again - the MC12 always looked much better than the Enzo to my eyes and many others, and I suspect a Maser/LaFer effort would also be more appealing, especially after seeing the new Alfieri concept from Geneva. >8^) ER
No one has snagged a shot of the chassis plate yet that I am aware of. Cars are not being built in order by chassis number so it has been impossible to guess either. I'd be in cardiac arrest. >8^) ER
