You've had MONTHS (what, like 6?) and you STILL haven't proven it. Not even on your classified. If it's so easily proven, why haven't you done so? Your car was titled salvage by the CA DMV. Are you going to sit here and call me a liar for stating that fact?

I am sorry but you are wrong that's exactly what you did to me. Sold me a car that was misrepresented as a private sale and posed a major safety issue. You told me the car was yours when in fact you never registered the vehicle since the title was in another persons name. Remember the White Mondial t that had a major gas leak among a list of other things that were wrong with the car you never disclosed? Remember telling me after it arrived to just add 8 gallons at a time because who ever fills their car full because it adds extra weight? It is unfortunate that I did not notify everyone on this forum years ago because it could have prevented others from being taken advantage of. I was more embarrassed that I let someone take advantage of me and just paid for all of the repairs and chalk it up as a bad and costly learning experience. I did not forget Karma is a bi*** and eventually you will get caught.
Psychological Projection is a defense mechanism in which a person unconsciously rejects his or her own unacceptable attributes by ascribing them to objects or persons in the outside world. For example, a person who is rude may accuse other people of being wrong rude. Bullying: A bully may project his/her own feelings of vulnerability onto the targets of the bullying activity. Despite the fact that a bully's typically denigrating activities are aimed at the bully's targets, the true source of such negativity is ultimately almost always found in the bully's own sense of personal insecurity and vulnerability. For example, A "Super Lawyer" threatens to sue Ferrarichatters! Pot Kettle Black You continue to bully/berate others who don't claim Ferrari ownership? I don't see that rule as a pre-requisite to exercise 1st amendments rights garnered in our Constitution? I am sure there are many first rate mental health institutions near Medici Motors!
I wanna see the Pay-Per-View fight night! Let's do a Vegas match, The Mayor can be the ref. Seriously, you met the guy... Who would win?
+100% same exact sentiments and experience! I still have the original registration in somebody else's name! Do you Pat? I will post it! Cheers
Physically there is no worry unless he knows some crazy fighting style which is possible based on his Bio he made up. (worlds most egotistical man) He is probably 155 lbs wet. Sorry to offend TB if I stated a opinion higher than your actual weight no malice meant. Bottom line he is exposed and he hates it.
To be honest I don't have a copy but I am sure I could get one. Its all water under the bridge now for me. Not much I can do maybe back then but not now other than point out his bad dealings. I am sure he has not paid any taxes on any of the car sales since I unfortunately came across him in 2007.
I feel a bit badly for the op. his thread has been hi-jacked and his car has been victimized a bit too. the pictures of the car look very nice however. I hope he chooses to keep her. a giallo tr is a jaw dropper!
Wow, just Wow! The one thing that seems to not have been clarified (unless I missed it) is the ownership chain. This does seem to important to Ferrari buyers, from what I have gleemed in my short time here. Dino listed the car with him as the second owner, which in theory makes Tristam the first owner? Which would mean Excelsior Z has owned it since 1992? Or, did he just broker the car for the original owner? I'm not going to run a carfax/autocheck/historical service records, but I am guessing Dino has one that verify single ownership. Sorry to see the eBay action only hit $79K. I love the yellow.
Nice car! To me the yellow looks great on the newer 512TR vs the early TRs. Don't know if it is the wheels, the bumpers or what? For the more knowledgeble mechanical types, looking at the engine pic on the ground without wheels or frame, does that mean the engine came out the top via straps around the intake plenum? Also, isn't a new water pump or at least seals a routine part of an engine out?
I have seen a yellow/black here in Houston years ago, but I have no idea of it's current location... It's rare on TRs but a popular combo, with some people....
Man, I have to say this is very bad for this seller. Not sure how to proceed. Can he take a Mulligan and get a new shot? If T's name is not in the Title chain of this car, it seems really unfair that the "spillover" from the 355 thread is into this one... IMO
The TR engine can come out from top with straps around intake like some do or from bottom with frame unit. We've seen both. For the owner history it is possible possible Buckley never had the car in is own name making the car officially on paper a two onwner car. If I look at the list of owners for my car it is long. But in reality it is a four onwers car including me. But the government list show ALL the dealers involved in trades or leasing over the years. For exemple the owner who had it for 20 years which who I spoke had been leasing it for a long time on different contracts from my understanding and the last ownership was under his wife name. Showing different company names involved. But in reality it is really a one owner for all those 20 years. Same with the first owner who bought it from a local dealer in his hometown who bought it from the Ferrari dealer in Toronto. Sold it back in trade to a dealer on his next car. On paper this is 3 owners in the chain but only one owner in REAL life. The owner from who I bought, got it from a dealer to who the 20 years owner put it in consignment. So there is another owner in the government chain in paperwork between those 2 REAL owners. Sometimes you have to figure it out. I was able to do it speaking to all of the previous REAL owners.
That's part of the problem. He bought it from T but it was never in T's name. Seller is claiming it was a 1 owner car when he bought it, but T was not the original owner. I guess technically it was a 1 owner car since T never registered it in his name, but that seems shady to me.
$80K may well be "all the money" for this car. CNC just listed a nice red/tan for $110K, IIRC... let's see how that sale goes... The whole Ferrari market is churning and I am glad sales are up, but values by individual models are in a huge flux......up, down and moving sideways.
Without getting into to Cali laws on dealers, of which I have no idea.... It's not "unheard of" for a lot of big time collectors to fail to transfer title, there is usually a penalty if you do finally title it, but you can keep a barn full with only a Bill of Sale on each vehicle.....it's kind of a legal limbo. It certainly bit John O'Quinn's gf in the azz when he crashed and died... NONE of the cars in the collection "purchased for her" had ever completed title, and the lawyers for his Estate stripped her of every single one. So, a dengerous game to play. O'Quinn was a hugely successful attorney (nice enough guy I met him once or twice socially) but his collection was totally lost, due to the strategy I describe above. there's a broken tree down on Allen Parkway, with curb chips. Not much of a memorial..
