Gentlemen, I have passionately loved Ferrari ever since I was a child. I remember my weekends going to Newport Beach with my father and spending the day looking, taking pictures, and asking questions at the Newport Imports Ferrari Dealership (Where Phillips Auto is located now). I have literally had every Ferrari poster known to man on my bedroom walls, I used to doodle 308/328s & TRs on all my school folders dreaming of cruising down PCH on a Saturday afternoon. I rummaged through magazines looking for Ferrari pictures, cutting them out and putting them on my wall. When I was 15, my uncle set up a ride for me with his friend in a 1985 308 GTSi Bianco/Nero and I will never forget that experience. I even had a picture of me in the car blown up into a poster to hang on my wall. At that point, I made it my goal to own one. I worked hard to gain a college education, successful career and most importantly a proud family man and father. I am fortunate enough to have the ability (and understanding wife) that I can reward myself with the toy of my dreams. I have spent the better part of a year looking, asking questions, bothering salesmen man after salesman, only to walk away because I had not come across the right car or was afraid to pull the trigger. I finally pulled the trigger earlier this week and I am actually leaving to take delivery of it now. I have a grin from ear to ear. 2002 360 Modena, 3 pedal, Rosso/Nero, fully serviced 4k car. BTW, I still have all those magazines and posters in my attic, maybe its time I pull them down and decorate my garage, celebrating the arrival of a long awaited friend. I will post pictures later!
Congrats and welcome to the club! Only 4K miles!?!?! Hope you plan to fix that! Let's get some photos up ASAP!
When I went to UCIrvine 20+ years ago, I used to ride my bicycle home to Westminster the long way on PCH - just to stop and stare through the windows of that very same dealership - Never dared step foot inside though. I told myself that "hopefully some day....just maybe......". Very similar stories, you and I. Welcome to the club.
Congrats Darrel! A three pedal no less. Be a good caretaker and enjoy the car! And don't forget to thank your wife (grin) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think I have all the same magazines, posters and the record of the most annoying kid at Ferrari dealers throughout the NYC metro area! I understand where you are coming from. I think many of us have similar stories. Every time I hear another dream fulfilled, it puts a smile an my face and a little tear in the eye. Well done my friend! Have fun and be safe. .... And don't forget... This thread is worthless without pictures!!

What a great story. Congratulations on attaining your dream. Enjoy your new baby and welcome to the brotherhood!
Here are a few more pics. I did the usual cars and coffee this morning. Had a blast taking her out at 5:30 this am. Nice open roads for cruising and no traffic. I put 103 miles on her in the last 24 hours so needless to say, ive been a mad man taking her everywhere.
