Hi everyone! This is probably my OCD kicking in but it's my baby. Noticed on the corner edge where front bumper meets metal, there is a slightly wider gap versus the left side of bumper. No signs of damage etc...Assuming this is normal with a plastic bumper but just checking to see if others have noticed this or do I have OCD?

There was a similar recent post on the "other" ferrari board. Two very well respected folks who work on our cars said that all the cars are like that, 360's and 430's.

if you can't locate it, PM me and i'll send the link

A bit of advice for Ferrari ownership................don't expect exacting fit and finish or great paint. Be prepared to hear odd noises that may make you worry but in almost all cases are nothing. When my 430 arrived brand new, I didn't have to look hard for evidence of sloppy work. There was even a drop of black paint on the aluminum door sill that evidently fell from a brush being used for touchup. It's still there 8 years later. I refer to it as "character flaws."

There is some adjustment that can be made via all of the mounting hardware (same for the rear bumper). You must remove the wheel liners and loosen the eight main nuts in addition to the four (two each side) nuts just in from the bumper ends. To get a consistent gap, I use pieces of corrugated box cardboard (approx. 2 x 6"). Place the cardboard at intervals between the body and the bumper. You will need to support the bumper and apply upward pressure. I use my creeper and many shop blankets. I tighten the main nuts first. The bumper ends will need some hand pushing to get the right position while the two nuts are tightened.

I have had my front and rear 360 coupe bumpers on/off many times (radar detector install, replacement bumper, etc...).

    Good Luck!!!!

Not OCD, normal. I am the same way about my Ferrari. My front bumper on my 458 fits perfect on the drivers side but has a slight variation between the bumper and fender on the passenger side, bumper sits down 1/8 of an inch vs the fender. No accidents, no paintwork, perfect car but it was like this from the factory. It is the little imperfections all Ferraris have, not to worry. Nobody else will most likely never notice the imperfections you see…

Whenever I see other 458's I check to see if they have this same fitment issue as mine, and a few I have seen DO lol, so I am good with it :)
