Looks like something is missing off the chain driven assembly (front wheel drive takeoff?)? Cool looking enough.

In a previous thread about that thing, I believe someone suggested it may actually use a Thema 8.32 engine with Ferrari cam covers as it sounds to have a crossplane crank. Seems like a dumb use of the engine either way.

Where do you sit on that thing? How do you drive it?

Is that the steering rack box? The chain comes from below and those two gears mesh (completely unprotected, better hope there's no gravel that lands in there just as you hit a fast sweeper!) and feed the pinion. And the rack is missing. That's what I think it is. And is that an a-arm support off a little tiny tab off of the engine block?

If I'm seeing this right I wouldn't drive this in the real world at any speed.

Good assessment but I am looking at a boot way below front that might be steering rack? I'm thinking these ATV type vehicles are to be four wheel drive and in this project the front drive hasn't been quite worked out but who knows?

You know I'm looking at what appears to be a well thought out rear suspension but do not understand those front A arms. Aren't those supposed to articulate and not be fixed?

Certainly does not sound like a flat-crank engine. +1 for it being a Lancia drivetrain. Still looks like a good way to burn off your arm hair!

I somehow missed the rubber boot below. That does look like a rack boot. I guess I don't have any idea what that chain driven thing is.

Is that a spherical joint where it attaches to the block?

It looks like one. Which raises the question is it wise to transfer such stresses to the block?
