I'm going to buy Rolex and my the options are GMT II (in steel) or Rolex Datejust II (steel and gold).

To begin with I was going to buy Submariner 5513 Meters First, but thats an old watch, and I cant use it evryday. So in the future, Im going to buy Sub 5513 meters first.

But what should I choose now?? Or should I choose a different model??

    thanks

    No reason a 5513 can't be a daily.

The only Rolex that sparks any interest is the Sea Dweller.
    You asked.

To me the only Rolex worth having is the Daytona.

I wear a TT sub as my daily banger and a white gold 116509 Daytona other times. I prefer having the date on my daily banger.

I like the Millgauss with the green glass and the Explorer II In steel with white face.

raider posts a tridor masterpiece and you fools keep talking about stainless steel?

raider you have a beautiful timepiece. that meteorite dial is amazing!

stainless steel is only for the people who can barely afford a rolex unless its vintage in which case nobody cares other than idiot savants

    That's what I was talking about :D
    That's absolutely a MUST!
I've seen a guy who mentioned the Milgauss.. That's not a Rolex for me. In my opinion.
My last purchase is an AP however :D

Buy what you like. Submariner with a date is a great all around watch. Daytona has no date and is over priced for what it is. I have bought and sold a lot of Daytona's and have no desire to own another.

The comment "stainless steel is only for the people who can barely afford a rolex" is ridiculous and utter nonsense. Use your gold Rolex in sea water for a couple of years and tell me how it looks. As others have said the Daytona is THE Rolex to have, but not necessarily the most functional for daily wear as it has no date. The Sea Dweller is WAAAY to large and top heavy on the wrist. The GMT II ceramic in stainless is an awesome looking watch, has a date, and unlike a Sub has the GMT function which is handy when traveling. You can also use the GMT hand for a compass in a pinch!
