It's not very often you see green Miura's with gold wheels and side skirts. Has a Jota style fuel cap too. Is this a real SV?

The placard says 1972 so the right date for a real SV

You may be right, of course. Do bear in mind though that much work is said to be done at the Factory, which hasn't been done there at all, just nearby.

Joe offered me this SV as a project 2 years ago when I bought his personal Factory Speciale 2,000 mile Countach.

Everyone ready to be depressed and wish they had a time machine? I finally found a folder that I had kept from years ago with some ad's from old Hemmings Motor News..

This ad was from around 1987 or so..... Unfortunately, there is no date on the pages. I just remember back in 1987 I was looking for a 1980-1986 Maserati 4Porte and used to make copies of interesting Lamborghini's that I wish I owned too! :)

I thought 4972 was a Miura S, which was both uprated to SV spec and converted to RHD - or was it a LHD SV to start with?

It was a LHD SV to start. Miura Register

Ah. Thanks. Why does this entry have black/white RHD SV LAM130 pictured as 4972? I don't believe the car was ever black, and this picture is of 4828 surely?

That's actually one of my pictures (taken at Goodwood mid 80's)
And the car is indeed #4828 owned at that time by Barry Martina iirc

Thanks for sharing, that's fascinating. Best Miura (SV) deals I can recall having made were 2 Miura SVs at $110k and $115k respectively.

I wish I would have kept the Autoweek classifed from back in 1978 or '79 that had the advertisement for the 1968 P400 I almost bought for $16,500.00.

    OUCH!

Joe, Would this type of interior been available in an SV from the factory? maybe as a special order. You said the car was offered to you. Was there a problem that prevented you (or Gary) from restoring this one. Looks like he did a nice restoration on the car.

Two-tone interiors in SVs involved the beige-colored velour cloth inserts. Joe restored this one to his personal (non-original) taste.

No problem at all with Joe, in fact I bought his rare & original Countach instead. Ive completed more than my fair share of Miura SV restorations in my time and I simply am not interested in another.

Peter Hay's RHD 4816 (Production #700, engine #30705) UK-registered LVY 168 K shortly after it was delivered on the 28th of January 1972!

Curiously, it states 0-60 in 6.5 sces, a 174mph top speed, and "the same make of clutch is fitted as standard in 9 out of 10 British cars" (I'm sure they mean cars in general and npt Miura SVs).
